As always, Josh keeps very busy on the property making improvements. For the past 2 weeks, he has been working on this privacy fence. He cut down trees on the property and milled these massive 6x6's for the supports and used what was left to make the slats. So now we have a big fence to block the view of our back yard from the rental units.

When Josh and I were dreaming of this adventure we are on, one of the things we agreed on was we wanted to cater to foster families. Being a previous foster family, we know firsthand how costly it can be to get away and also how much it is needed. We hoped to give them as big of a discount as we can so they can so can enjoy a well-deserved getaway. Last weekend, this foster family accidentally booked us here in Eddyville, KY, instead of Eddyville, IL. It's not the first time that someone has booked here, instead of the IL Eddyville. It is the first time a family followed through with their "mistake." They enjoyed it so much they decided to come back this weekend! As we know, there are no mistakes, and we were thankful to host this sweet family.

It's been a week now since they left, but we are always grateful when Josh's parents come down and spend time with us. The animals also love it, as Grandma and Grandpa always bring treats! They also bring their work boots and get busy helping us with whatever they can. Thanks to some pretty great parents!

We congratulate our local boys basketball team on winning the Kentucky state championship! They are the smallest high school in 40 years to win the title! Good job, boys!
