For over twenty-five years we have been offering submarine piloting instruction near Annapolis Maryland, to interested parties and to-date have taught, or taken down, well over 300 individuals. We own two fourteen-foot, two-person K-350 dry submarines, that were originally designed by retired WWII submarine Captain George Kittridge to inspect and patrol the deep oil pipelines off the coast of Scot
land. Our KR-350 submarine has been modified primarily for instructional purposes with large viewports added at mid-hull for maximum visibility for both student and passenger. During your open water dives you will be in constant intercom and video communications with a surface vessel which has the capability to bring the submarine back to the surface at any time. We charge $200.00 for this half day class (gift certificates available), and upon completion of the open-water dives the student is awarded a framed piloting certificate. Students are encouraged to take all the photographs and video they wish, and after several qualifying dives are permitted to take down friends and family as passengers (night diving as well as invitations to accompany us on special trips and expeditions, can also be arranged). To-date our submarines have been featured in documentaries that have aired on the National Geographic, Science, Discovery and History Channels.
