Took Freya to today for a visit, and I think it is going to be counted as her last big outing. I took her by to see our friend Mina, and also to get some pets from the residents. She gets a bit stressed, though, by unfamiliar situations. She had an upset tummy, and she limped some. But it was nice to get her out, and she definitely loved the car ride. We are taking it day by day with her, but I fear this whole situation is going to go faster than I would like. Keep sending the good vibes! We could use them.

When you take your 5 year old along to drop your Irish Wolfhound off at the groomer, the groomer decides to dress her up like a pretty, pretty princess to make your daughter smile! Poor Freya. Can’t even keep her dignity! 👑

It came!! Cosmo’s beautiful custom biothane collar from ! I got sage and violet because they are as close to Iris Memory Care colors as I could get. And I asked for planets and stars because he is name me for the cosmos! How cute is this?? Now the residents can easily see his name! Thanks for the recommendation

We are hosting a fundraiser for an Iris friend and colleague, Jennifer, and her family. Jennifer has been fighting advanced colon cancer for almost 2 years. While she is going to continue to fight, her treatment options are becoming more limited, and she has been given a terminal diagnosis. We are raising funds for her to get supplemental treatments and services that can help improve her quality of life, as well as funds for her young family. While Iris itself has already provided assistance, we wanted to see what our loving and wonderful community of friends and family could do to help her!

Our Irish wolfhound, Freya, got a bath and blowout today. The fact that she feels and smells so much better is a little thing that makes me happy. Doesn’t she have just the prettiest eyes?? Our friends at do such a good job and are so patient with her. We love their grooming membership program! That wolfhound coat is deceptive, and it needs more grooming than you think.
