Owner Chris Herman has extensive experience in designing eco-friendly, non-toxic, solar homes and has been a part of the green movement in Seattle for over 3 decades. Owner certified by NCBDC (National Council of Building Designer Certification) and the WA Lung Association as a Healthy House Designer/Consultant. Provides solar electric and solar hot water systems site assessment, consulting, design & sales for 5 local installers. Presents solar classes and provides hourly consulting for passive and active solar, low-toxic, resource efficient, energy efficient new homes and remodels. Experienced with SIPS, Rastra, ICFs, Sing Logs, advanced framing and load bearing straw bale construction. Provides expert balancing of issues, costs and aesthetics with the clients’ values as the priority.
