My Magic Kingdom 🏰 review:

🏰 We were able to rope drop but never did. We are past those days since the girls are older and gone are the days when they open the park with the Welcome song and characters arriving on a train.

🏰 If walking on Main Street USA doesn’t give you all the feels… we aren’t the same 🤷🏻‍♀️

🏰Our first stop is always Starbucks and always hope to catch the Dapper Dans in action. After that we head left… (there’s a method behind that madness but you only get those details when you are a client 😊)

🏰 We went to Magic Kingdom 2 different days since we were there for 8 days. Weather was good first day but not so good the last 😕

🏰 We ate dinners at Liberty Tree Tavern & Crystal Palace. Both were delicious. In 22 trips we never at dinner at Crystal Palace and we were pleasantly surprised. It’s a buffet with a large variety including healthy options.

🏰 The Festival of Fantasy Parade happens twice a day now. Do yourself a favor and watch it back in Frontier Land at 12pm. It’s less crowded. I guess because us veteran Disney goers are creatures of habit and wait until 3 to see the second one. Although that’s the best time of day to head back to your resort for some rest.

🧞‍♂️➕ Was worth it for Magic Kingdom. Seven Dwarfs Main Train was consistently a 90 minute wait and we walked right on.

👟My sneakers for the day are made by On. I have several different pairs and if you saw my Animal Kingdom post I had a different kind made by same company. Why do I keep posting what shoes I wear… because if you’ve gotten blisters, have back pain or foot pain after a day at the parks you will wish you had taken note..lol

🏰 I was sad to see many parents frustrated/annoyed & yelling at kids at the Happiest Place on Earth. I’m guessing the heat, long days, the costs, the crowds & just being overwhelmed get to people. THIS IS WHERE I CAN HELP!!! I don’t just help families book the trip but I can help you plan your days so this doesn’t happen! My girls have been going since they were very little. Now they are 19 and 14 and still look forward to going to Disney. I can’t help but think it’s partially because of how I’ve managed our days & times over the years. When they were little if they napped at 2 when we at home well they napped at 2 at Disney. If you think that’s impossible trust me it’s not! Now they like to sleep in and we do that too. Remember, you could stay at Disney for a month and not see everything so it’s about pinpointing what your priorities are for your family.

Happy Monday! This week I’m going to discuss the parks and I’m starting with Animal Kingdom.

👟 Shoes 👟 so very important for this park. It’s a grueling park, especially since when hot. We did Animal Kingdom twice so we were able to break it up and bit. These sneakers are called On Cloud. The name does not mislead. They are like walking on a cloud even after hours at the park. No aches or pains. Well worth the $.

🐭 Take your time when entering the park and heading towards Africa look at the water over the bridge because you’ll never know who you may see in the water 😊

🐒 My 14 year old LOVED the petting area! We took the cute little train ride on Rafiki’s Planet Watch and you saw many behind the scenes housing for the animals on the way. The train runs every 5-7 minutes. There are plenty of hand washing stations.

🦅 My 19 year old loves the Birds of Flight show. It’s also a good time to rest in the shade and enjoy a Mickey Head ice cream.

Dinner one night was Yak & Yeti. Food was excellent!

🦁 The Safari ride…. If you have a bad back or hip (like me) do NOT sit in the back row of the Safari bus. We never have in all of our trips and next time never will.

We did my favorite ride, Avatar’s Flight of Passage and my husband and oldest did Everest.

🦁 The Lion King Show… somewhat disappointing now. It’s literally just a song show. Also, less crowd interaction. I’m hoping it was just due to not being fully reopened.

Today’s topic…. The WHY & how…..

Disney for us has been a way of life. I remember when our trips only cost us $3,000 total with food 😳 well 22 trips later it’s priceless. Now that my girls are 19 & 14 it’s become that one time of year the magic comes back to their eyes, and seeing the real stars of the show make them smile. They get to have that one piece of innocence where they aren’t being judged on SnapChat and it’s nothing but love 💗

How have we done it… hard work. My husband and I both work full time jobs, I am a real estate agent as well, plus planning Disney vacations for others became my side hustle out of love & passion. People always think it’s easy but you have to be knowledgeable and current. The biggest compliment I have is that this year 93% of my clients are all return clients.

So why am I telling you all of this? If you are a young Disney family and don’t know how you can afford keep going (trust me we’ve been there) do whatever it takes to figure it out. From a mother’s heart to yours… it’s worth every penny 👛

💰 Let’s talk food BUDGET today 💰

First off… Disney isn’t cheap. There I said it. Now that you know that I get this question all the time, “How much should I budget for food?”

Since we stay at the cabins in Fort Wilderness, I order groceries for breakfast foods like bagels, snacks, case of water and coffee. That bill was about $150.

We are a family of 4 and do a sit down meal every night. No matter where we ate (my 1 daughter barely eats) it was about $175 before tip. Some nights my husband and I had a drink and some nights we didn’t. We didn’t have any desserts at the dinners other than at Liberty Tree Tavern & Crystal Palace. Lunch we only ate once and that was $60 (for hotdog meals) and then the bottles of water in the park. For lunch most days it was just a pretzel or fruit (too hot to eat). We did have breakfast once (nothing fancy) and that was $58.

Sooooo the answer to the question about $250 per day. Follow me for more tips and contact me to book your next magical vacation!
