It's been a wonderful ride the last 11 years, having the opportunity to freely create and share my artwork in a variety of capacities, and learn the hard work and dedication it takes to wear all the hats as a business owner. I’m deeply grateful for the entire experience, and the purpose it served to shape a fantastic chapter of my life. But I feel the book isn’t finished, there’s more to write. Every ending writes the new line of the next chapter, and I feel ready for it now. Although being an artist is a deeply intrinsic part of who I am, after much thoughtful deliberation I’ve decided to wrap up doing it as a business, and close Jessica St. Clair Studio, LLC. My sincerest heartfelt thanks goes to every person who hung my work on their wall, who giggled at my cards and helped support their special mission, who sought me to provide a personal solution to their custom design needs. You all helped me reach a dream, and I am forever grateful!

The transcendent melody of that beautiful Van Morrison song hums in my head as I think about what a spiritual experience I find time at sea to be, and so I call this piece “Into the Mystic.” Photographed on the Chesapeake Bay and printed on archival velvet fine art paper, with hand-cut perfectly paired double mats, presented in an 18”x24” natural walnut wood frame. After 7 amazing years with Arts by the Bay Gallery, I'll be saying goodbye when the current show ends Jan. 21. I am truly honored to have been part of such a special place and talented group of artists for so long. Change can be a difficult decision to make, but it heralds growth on every journey, so I’m opening the door to new creative opportunities in 2023! A great variety of my fine art, matted prints, greeting cards & more are still available at the gallery, get them before they’re gone!

As an avid boater myself, designing these rack cards for Upper Chesapeake Boat School was right in my wheel house! I can personally attest this course is fantastic, and Captain Lauren Warren is the best at what she does! 🛥⚓️
