It’s been so fun to see guests “Hi Hopes” for the next guest!
We added this cute little dry erase message board (a DIY Canva template from .co 🙌)
Of course .restaurant (our fav) and (newly renovated local fav!) got a couple shoutouts already!

We’re working with to create a one-of-a-kind modern shipping container cabin!
The container arrives next week and then we’ll be busy bees turning the space into a cozy, retro, funky retreat for two.
We can’t wait to start hosting guests in June!
We’ll accept pre-booking in late May once the container is actually here 😉

So many new friends have found us on this app! We’re Addie & Ben, your northwoods hosts.
A few fun facts about us:
1. Addie grew up in Ely, mn (comment GUIDE & I’ll email you my local’s guide to Ely)
2. We own a coworking space in Mpls called

4. We love to workout & be outside
5. If it’s just the two of us we prefer to stay at Aurora cabin and with friends / family we enjoy 🫶

We got to use our sauna for the first time!
After assembling the sauna ourselves it was even more rewarding to relax in this beautiful sauna.

We’ve made a lot of upgrades in 3 years… painting & staining, building a deck, and so much more.
The project took off faster than anticipated. We weren’t even planning to host when we initially purchased.

Ely Log Cabin has 2 queen beds upstairs in the loft. From the loft guests enjoy views of the Boreal Forest.
2 dogs are allowed at Ely Log Cabin, but not in the loft 😉 Guests can snuggle up with their furry friend by the indoor fireplace in the fall.

We’re Addie & Ben, your friendly Northwoods camp counselors… er I am cabin hosts!
We bought in 2020 and put so much work and love into it to make it ready for guests.
Apparently I’ve been doing this since childhood… scroll to see a photo of Addie helping grandpa, uncle & dad build a log cabin in Ely.
Log cabins require extra special maintenance and attention, we’ve learned so much random knowledge that we never thought we knew!
This cabin is really special to us and we know it’s special to a lot of you too. Thank you for choosing to stay with us and letting us host you 💌

DOVE TAIL LOG CABIN REVEAL 🌲 ✨
This gorgeous historic tiny cabin came with our 40 acres!
It was used as a wood shed for many years.
Our family spent the last year renovating it and creating it into a beautiful cozy space to retreat to!
We’re excited to offer the Dove Tail cabin as an optional add-on to Ely Log Cabin guests this summer! ☀️
It’s the perfect place to rest and retreat in solitude and sneak away from your larger group. 😉
