Well it’s official, this weekend we will have a booth at the Connecticut fishing outdoor show at Mohegan sun. After doing our first last month in Springfield we got everything ready to go to do it again. Looking forward to seeing you all and spending the weekend discussing how good this weather feels.

It’s 4 years now since I “sprained” my ankle at the paper mill. I had the captains course sitting waiting to get started, and at that time I couldn’t find the time. What is a curse for some turned out to be the best thing to happen to me. That same year I took friends I’ve never fished with before along for the adventure granted they could help me launch the boat. It was the year that built this whole foundation.

Our schedule?? We run Friday’s, Saturdays, and Monday’s May-November 12 hours a day. Two reason for this. It keeps me home on most weekdays to find that perfect balance at home and it also gives YOU the perfect excuse to take a vacation day from work and avoid the weekend crowd.

The ice is thick but we have seen better fishing in years prior. I used to love the cold but the older I’m getting the more my bones hurt. I couldn’t think of a better way to break up the winter then to surround ourselves with a likeminded community.
Febuary 21,22,23 we will be set up at booth 433 at the Springfield outdoor show! This is a life long dream since I was kid! Being minutes away from my house I can’t wait to see all my local family! The show is not one that is biased to any part of the sport. Freshwater,saltwater,shooting, and hunting worlds collide for a great weekend. We will be there proudly representing not only the beautiful CT fishery but we are respenting a private charter unlike any in the area!
It’s going to be a great time and I hope to see everyone there, I will have merch on hand and some free goodies for the kids!

I’d be lying if I didn’t say I got caught up in the big fish glory this season and every season before that. You drive yourself crazy trying to catch slob after slob if you can even catch one right?
Although I try to do everything I can to get you that trophy size catch I have no control over what bites that hook. Sometimes thats the adventure in itself, and why is that not to be celebrated? Our trips are tailored for your adventure. All ages and skill levels are welcomed aboard for that trip of a lifetime.

So what started out as no hope turned into big pike dreams. What started as big pike dreams this morning turned into extra couple hours in the truck to find safe ice. PSA it’s not ready. The snow that came through last night put a damper on this morning plans for sure. Weather the next couple days looks killer but hopefully after that we get a good stretch of cold before Christmas.
It was nice to scratch the itch with some hungry bow and Brooke fishing. Blessed to get out and happy for some boys who knew the spot.
