We would love to welcome you to our cozy cabin in beautiful Ephraim, Door County, Wisconsin. We have been sharing our beloved “Trollhouse” with family and friends for years and are excited to open it up to you!

The story of the trollhouse is quite a fun one. The original log section was built over a hundred years ago, in Denmark. In the 1960’s Al Johnson (yeah, THAT one) brought over a few buildings. Swedish cabins weren’t as well preserved, so Danish it was! He brought several that can still seen on the grounds of his restaurant, and ours! It was disassembled, meticulously labeled, brought over log by log, and reassembled. You can still see the labels on the longs in the upstairs bedrooms!
In 2002, we recived permission from the city to expand the building, filling in what was once an open “summer kitchen”, raising the roofline, and adding plumbing.

We will share Tid bits of local lore, history, and knowledge as we continue on this journey.
