The elk rut is coming to an end in Estes Park, Colorado but we’re still seeing some good action! This bull lost the battle as well as his left antler!🦌
Atlas’ lullaby😴This scene we captured was too beautiful to crop tighter, so you can see the ring of our scope.🦌Captured at YMCA of the Rockies🏔️
We were too far to capture the bugle, but love seeing these interactions!🦌
Something we’ve never seen before, an elk chewing on a bone!🦴 Bones are a good source of protein and minerals for animals.

The Elk Rut has begun in Estes Park, Colorado & Rocky Mountain National Park. Elk can be extremely agressive so its important to keep your distance, especially this time of year!Special thanks to Seth of Colorado Adventures for allowing us to include his captures to better educate the public on viewing wildlife safely!#WildlifeWednesday
We’ll never get tired of sharing these beautiful views with our Explorers. Come Explore Estes Park with us☺️
Please be mindful of your speed when driving in areas with wildlife activitity. We’ve seen too many animals get hit by cars, and sadly many elk calves & deer fawns within the last few months of this peak tourist season in Estes Park, Colorado have been killed by drivers going too fast on our mountain roads. Drive defensively and keep your eyes open for wildlife looking to cross the road. #wildlifelover
Making memories to last a lifetime in Estes Park, Colorado 🤩🏔️💙
