We love this story about the continuing influence of the comic strip “Peanuts” and its endearing characters. Add a visit to the Charles M. Schulz Museum in Santa Rosa to any of our Northern California itineraries and learn about the fascinating life of its creator.

Another “wow” near Palm Springs is the fantastic Living Desert, with flora and fauna from desert regions all over the world! A special docent-guided group tour includes transportation throughout the park and interactions with animals. We loved the wallaby enclosure where the curious creatures are allowed to approach visitors.

We’re so excited to be in for Go West Summit! It’s a gorgeous 72 degrees on this sunny day that I’m spending with Marilyn outside the Palm Springs Art Museum. There’s so much to see and do but I’m really looking forward to meeting with over 60 destination marketing organizations and travel suppliers and developing new exciting itineraries to the West!

Traveling during the holidays or within the next month? With the increasing possibility of a federal government shutdown, now is the time to start thinking ahead.

While most airport workers are employed by local governments and authorities, airlines, and private contractors (restaurants, gift shops, baggage handling services), federal workers comprise the Transportation Safety Administration (TSA), Customs and Border Protection (CBP), the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and, of course, our nation's air traffic controllers. These employees are classified as "essential" and must continue to work without pay.

However, the longer a shutdown goes, the more likely these employees may push back by "calling out" and not showing for work, which can cause significant delays. In fact, it was the lack of air traffic controllers and flight delays in 2019 that was credited to ending the 2019 government shutdown after 35 days. A shutdown will also impact Amtrak and close national parks and federally owned museums.

Make sure you plan extra time for your travels, which is good advice during any holiday season. Also, consider downloading an app like "Flight Aware" to keep track of your flights in real time.

With a potential U.S. government shutdown on the horizon, travelers are concerned about possible disruptions to flights with airlines like American, Delta, United, Southwest, and others. Similarly, cruise passengers are wondering if voyages with Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, and Disney could...

Absolutely stunning Thanksgiving Day in the Pacific Northwest from high atop the Space Needle! Built for the 1962 World’s Fair, it stands at 602 feet tall. On the clear day (like today), you can see massive Mt. Rainer, located about 60 miles south of Seattle, standing at over 14,000 feet.

The Space Needle has seen many changes in its 62 year history. Today it has a rotating glass floor, the only observation deck in the world with such a feature. At its base are the Chihuly Garden and Glass, Pacific Science Center, Museum of Pop Culture, and the Seattle Center Monorail. Nearby is the Seattle Art Museum, and the newly expanded Seattle Aquarium along the waterfront! . Visit Seattle Explore Washington State.

So much fun working with Becky from Moostash Joe Tours and Stu from Arrow Stage Lines the last few days! We visited Santa Monica Pier, the museums of the Miracle Mile, LA Farmers Market, Hollywood, Griffith Observatory, the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, including a private luncheon under a former Air Force One plane, and Olvera Street. Not bad for three days! And that didn’t include the Nebraska/USC Football game! Whew! Here we are saying our goodbyes at Olvera Street, where "El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de los Ángeles de Porciúncula" began! Safe travels! Visit California Visit Los Angeles
