Happy 10th Birthday to ! It was our first time aboard! We were at 550 feet above the Las Vegas Strip with a cold adult beverage in our hands and marveling at the sites. The trip around takes about 30 minutes in an air conditioned pod. The pedestrian mall beneath us was filled with shops and restaurants in between and . Such a great experience - can’t wait to try it at night!

The first Black female U.S. Air Force pilot — and later United Airlines captain with some 23,000 career flight hours — has retired after 43 years of flying!

Pioneering aviator Captain Theresa M. Claiborne landed at New Jersey's Newark Liberty International Airport and marked her retirement after more than three decades with the air carrier. ✈️

We’re headed to California’s Central Coast by way of beautiful Paso Robles. Spend an evening or two ensconced in wine country. Reasonably priced tastings at family-owned vineyards and excellent farm-to-fork dining in the quaint downtown are highlights but so is the amazing Sensorio, an outdoor evening lights experience unique in the western U.S. And you’re also a stone’s throw from the charming communities of Cambria, Cuyucos, and Morro Bay, and don’t forget Hearst Castle. One of our favorite beachside hotels is close by too, complete with fireplaces overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

We’re in Baldwin Park! Just east of Los Angeles on “The 10.” The “car culture” of the greater Los Angeles area produced many related businesses, but especially fast food companies, including McDonald’s, Del Taco, Taco Bell, and In-N-Out. Baldwin Park is home to In-N-Out. A recreation of the original, complete with the original menu, cigarette dispenser, and the company’s famous crossed palm trees sit in the shadow of I-10. A short walk away is a campus with a new restaurant, company store, and the University of In-N-Out. Groups welcome!

So excited to hear that Paris’ Notre Dame will reopen in December. Too late for visitors attending the Olympics this summer, but not too late for those planning trips for 2025. Exterior construction will continue into 2028.

The cathedral, heavily damaged in a 2019 fire, will reopen in December. Pilgrimage group bookings opened late last month; bookings for other groups begin in June.

Day 3 in Ft. Bragg: A stroll along the boardwalk at MacKerricher State Park with an excellent docent, spying migrating gray whale spray and a couple of flukes along with harbor seals with their pups. Followed by lunch at and a longer docent-guided stroll through beautiful gardens at . We finished with dinner at and an amazing sunset on Noyo Harbor. A perfect end to a perfect day!

It’s a pretty impressive place to go wine tasting! Even for large groups! Grab a glass of a great wine and wander through several rooms of impressive memorabilia from films directed by Francis Ford Coppola. The Tucker automobile on display was particularly cool! A great restaurant too!

We just had a fantastic new experience on the amazing !
