The calm before the storm.

Night sky this morning at about 4AM. No aurora could be seen through the clouds. Winter storm warning in effect the next several days, for anywhere between 2-12 inches of snow. ☃️

The wild animals of Alaska are truly amazing.

The American mink is a small mammal with a long, thin body, short legs, pointed snout and claws. Most minks are loners and have been social distancing for years. The mink's coat is coated in oil to repel water, awkward stares, and your judgement. Mink don’t pay taxes. ⁣⁣⁣Baby mink are called kits and come in a complete set. Do not collect them all. They are carnivores and feed on meat and children’s fears. ⁣⁣⁣Mink also have webbed feet. That is all. ⁣⁣⁣⁣
