Great recognition for a Virginia Tech doctoral program graduate.

Dr. Liza Burrell-Aldana of Mount Vernon Community School has been named The Washington Post's Principal of the Year! She was selected from 16 finalists in the region for her communication skills, high expectations and steadfast commitment to student learning. Since Dr. Burrell-Aldana became principal, Mount Vernon has improved test scores and maintained staff despite a national teacher shortage. ¡Felicidades! ➡️ https://acps.cc/3NcwZQV
