Throwback Thursday!

Did you know that I absolutely love theme parks? Growing up in Southern California, Disneyland and Six Flags Magic Mountain were practically my second homes. My passion for these magical places even landed me my first job as a ride operator at Six Flags Magic Mountain! Now, as an adult, I still find immense joy and escape in theme parks. There's something so refreshing about being surrounded by smiling faces, feeling the thrill of a rollercoaster, savoring those delicious theme park snacks, and getting lost in the immersive worlds that transport me far away from everyday stress.

One of my all-time favorite theme parks is Universal Studios Orlando. Universal has an incredible way of putting you right in the middle of a movie—nothing makes daily worries disappear faster than walking through Harry Potter's Hogwarts, exploring Jurassic Park, or even hanging out in The Simpsons’ Springfield.

Wait... The Simpsons? Yes, you read that right! While I’ve never been a huge fan of the show, The Simpsons land at Universal Studios Orlando holds a very special place in my heart. It’s where, while munching on a corn on the cob, my youngest daughter lost her first tooth! She was quite upset, but a kind Universal team member came over to check on us. When we explained what happened, she left and returned with a blue raspberry Icee for my daughter. Just like that, the tears stopped, and our day was saved. That evening, my daughter discovered the magic of the Tooth Fairy, and to this day, whenever she loses a tooth, she asks for an Icee to relive that comforting moment.

The real magic of a vacation isn’t just in the attractions or the sights—it’s in the memories you create and the emotions you feel. It’s about the laughter, the joy, and the connection that stay with you long after the trip is over. ✨ Throwback Thursday to Dublin, Ireland! ✨

Last year, we embarked on an Irish adventure that will forever be etched in our hearts. Dublin, one of my most favorite places on Earth (so far), welcomed us with open arms and endless charm. We wandered the cobblestone streets until our hearts were content, soaking in the history and magic of every corner.

We sat in every cozy pub we could find, sipping on local brews, listening to live music, and fully immersing ourselves in the Irish culture. Our taste buds danced with delight as we devoured Irish stew, fish and chips, and bangers and mash.

We toured the city’s historical sites, engaging in lively conversations with the locals who shared their stories and spirit with us. One unforgettable night, we were invited on an impromptu quest to see the Northern Lights. Though the elusive lights didn't appear, the thrill of the adventure and the camaraderie we found will live on forever.

Dublin taught us that sometimes, the destination is only the beginning of your exploration of the soul. 🍀
