I love the beach. It’s one of the few places in life where you can do and wear pretty much anything you like without question. Want to take a nap, do impromptu yoga, read a book for 6 hrs, drink cocktails from a coffee cup, talk to all the strangers, dress like you got dressed out of your trunk, or wear hardly anything at all? All good!!

Did you know Ireland is the final resting place for St Valentine? In 1836 Pope Gregory XVI gifted Dublin preacher John Spratt a relic for his hard work with Dublin’s poorest people. The relic turned out to be the remains of St Valentine. Spratt’s sacred present was brought to Whitefriar Church in Dublin on his return from Rome. If you plan in advance, you can get your wedding rings blessed beneath the shrine on February 14!

I was lucky enough to enjoy a magical moonlit walk by Lake Garda, Italy last month. It was the last night of the season, so the only other soul I saw was a hedgehog, who didn’t seem at all surprised to see me. I didn’t get a chance to see the mystical grounds of Villa Cortine in the daylight, but it just means I’ll have to go back. The town of Sirmione is an Italian fairytale come to life, complete with a castle.

Travel Tip! A good night's sleep makes all the difference when traveling and hotel pillows can be hit or miss.
