Don't miss this fun event and chance to learn some history about the Town of Fincastle.

This Saturday is your opportunity to learn some fun facts about the town of Fincastle. How many Court House buildings have stood on the location of the present-day Court House? Which house if probably the oldest house in town? Where were the bars and taverns in town? Where might you have stayed in the '30's if you were a traveling man?

The Fincastle Cafe will be open and there will be a special event at 4 pm on Saturday.

Come play Bingo with us!! Proceeds will benefit New Freedom Farm Inc. Prizes will be Pampered Chef & Tupperware. All prizes are $20-$30 in value with a coverall prize valued at $100. There are 20 rounds with 3 games per round & 1 round of coverall with 1 game (2 if you purchase your ticket ahead of time) included with your ticket.
Vendors will also be available for shopping. There will be a Bake Sale to also benefit. Banginton Butterfly will have food/drink available. Bingo daubers, door prizes, 50/50 & extra coverall will also be available the day of the event.

Over the past several months we have seen multiple cases of catalytic converters stolen from parked vehicles. We have made arrests in some of the cases however the thieves are continuing to target garages, boat launch parking areas, store parking lots and commuter lots where vehicles are left unattended.

Catalytic converters contain three valuable metals, platinum, palladium and rhodium that help remove toxins from the vehicles emissions. Thieves will then scrap the converters at local scrap yards collecting hundreds of dollars for the valuable metals from within the catalytic converter.

Some of these thefts are occurring during broad daylight. If you witness suspicious activity, such as an individual crawling under a car, notify us immediately. Investigators are diligently working to solve these cases but as always if you have information leading to the arrest and conviction of those involved we offer up to a $1000 reward for information. Tomato Festival at the Botetourt Farmers Market, Daleville Town Center, 8:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

☀️Reggae by the River, hosted by the Town of Buchanan, VA and taking place at the Buchanan Town Park, 4:30 p.m.-10 p.m. (music starts with a performance by Sol Roots Band at 5 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Music will continue with a performance by Lazy Man Dub Band beginning at 8:00 p.m-10 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults and free admission for children 12 and under. Food and beverages will be available for purchase, as well as various activities for children.

☀️Sunday, August 2nd:
Vendors at the Vineyard, Stoney Brook Vineyards, 12 p.m.-6 p.m. This is a FREE admission event. Enjoy award winning wines or ice cold sangrias while browsing an array of vendors from Botetourt County. Plus, Lazy Bulldog Food Truck will be on-site.
