Thanks to everyone that has followed us over from The Feasel's Garden Center page to Trails End Cabins. Many of you got to know our son Justin while he was working at the Garden Center and knew he was always talking about getting on a Great Lakes Freighter some day. Well that day has arrived and Justin is on his first trip on the Cort. We are so proud of him for following thru with his goals and getting to travel the lakes on a Freighter.
The first cabin construction is well on its way and when ready these pics are some of the things you can see while visiting the U.P.of Michigan.

Beautiful day in the U.P! Today we are doing what all Yoopers do, enjoying the great outdoors. The first cabin's foundation is almost ready to pour concrete. The driveway is cut out and stoned. Joyce and I are looking forward to a busy summer since we will be doing everything ourselves.
This first cabin will be a three bedroom handicap accessible cabin with beautiful views of all the up bound freighter traffic. More pics coming as we move forward. Don't forget to keep us in mind for your next U.P. getaway!

Ice Breaker heading up the Saint Mary's river not much ice this year to keep them busy. The Soo locks will be opening in a few weeks and the shipping season will begin. This will allow us to get some good Freighters pics from the cabin lots. Will post them as we get them .

People would ask me so you are moving to the U.p. of Michigan.What are you going to do for excitement in the winter time. Well I think this video will show you some excitement, it's called a Barbers chair and it about filled my drawers up.
Update on the first cabin build for spring. The permits have been filed and blue prints are done. Also this cabin will be handicap accessible and family oriented. More post coming as drawer filling events happen.

Clearing the waterfront lots this winter. We started cutting down large dead ash trees and loading them up to take to the sawmill. Lots of Amish up here and they do a great job sawing my logs into lumber. They have all been stacked and started drying out. We will be using them on the inside of the first cabin giving it a beautiful rustic look.
We will be posting our progress as the construction begins soon.

For you U.P. lovers here is a little video of some snow blowing on our lots. This is where our first cabin will be built in the spring. Been clearing the woods and dropping dead trees all winter. The land you see across the ice is Canada. More pics coming soon.

Many of you have been asking about our next adventure after closing our store. So here is an update, we will be converting our page over to Trails End Cabin Rentals and plan on building family oriented cabins for a real outdoor escape in the U.P. We will be posting pictures of our progress as we build the cabins this spring. As for now, we have a lot more trees to clear out this winter to be ready. More updates and pictures coming soon. Here we are, almost a full year after our business was listed for sale, saying our final goodbye as Feasel’s Garden Center. This post is something that we have both dreaded and longed to do. Dreaded, as we are so thankful for our loyal customers and employees who have given us this wonderful opportunity to service our community for almost 15 years and over 25 from the very beginning. Longed for this, as we concluded months and months ago; opportunities, and life itself, tend to be short lived.

It had become time for us to move on to something much smaller but much more important and meaningful to us; our family, our future and our new goals. Our hearts truly belong in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, where we have retreated for many years, and plan to start our new chapter.

Our page will remain ours but we will be changing the name, as it will now be used for our rental cabins we will be building in Michigan.

As I write this on behalf of my parents, Greg and Joyce Feasel, (as their daughter) I am truly astonished as to what they have achieved. Two dedicated people who poured their hearts out into a business that continues to flourish; even as they completely change paths.

My husband and I held our wedding reception here at the end of September, just as papers were beginning to be signed - before almost anyone knew. The night of our reception, we not only got to celebrate us, but everyone got to celebrate mom and dad as they knew they had just sold the business. It was bittersweet; seeing the end of something that has been a part of our lives for so long and the beginning of a new future for all of us.

My brother and I grew up in this business and watched our parents grow from a small ‘mom and pop’ to a prominent greenhouse and landscaping company in Findlay. As we leave behind many childhood memories that have slowly begun to resurface, none of us could be happier for what the future holds.

Once again, we want to thank our wonderful community for supporting us from the absolute very beginning.

To stay up to date, please continue following this page; we’ll only be changing the page name. We hope to see many of you reserving a stay at our (coming soon) rental cabins!
