Many families will be gathering at Christmas, making plans for next holiday season or upcoming vacations. Knowing this prompts me to reach out.
Money is tight, and costs are up everywhere. As a vacation home provider for the past 15 years, I want to let folks know that one way to save money on your vacation rental is to reach out to the provider in person, not on the monopolized platforms.
Providers like VRBO and AirBnB upcharge travelers as well as charging the homeowner to list. By searching for the home's website you can save 10 to 15% of the cost of the vacation rental, perhaps even more.
We love to build relationships with our renters, and provide them the most value for their money. We are happy to assist travelers with their planning and work hard to ensure they have the experience they were hoping for.

We host family reunions all summer but rent at special custom rates to couples and singles on low demand times of the year (November to May, excluding holidays).
Each house is 5 or more bedrooms, but we do not put strangers together in the rentals. We are delighted to assist travelers, even at the last minute.
Our off-season rate is $150 per night, with no cleaning fees or other fees. We cannot guarantee which house you will get as a whole house booking trumps a discount booking. Whole house books a year in advance, so bookings made a couple of weeks out are unlikely to be "bumped". Feel free to call us with any questions you may have.

Ask folks who are married what they remember most from their wedding day; most will talk about the way they looked into each other’s eyes, nearly crying while saying their vows, the kind/funny thing the officiant said, what mom said just before the ceremony started. They don't mention centerpieces, bouquets, bands/djs, expensive rental items, etc. We drove Cripple Creek for our license then to the top of Pikes Peak, said our vows to ourselves (a stranger saw us, didn't know what we were doing, but said "you two are so romantic, can I take a photo for you), shared a fresh Pikes Peak donut, drove home to where friends and family had gathered and prepared a feast to share. It was all under $500. I have lovely memories from that day.

We host destination weddings in the mountains of Colorado overlooking Pikes Peak on 50 private acres with 2 log estate homes and more. We sleep 40+ onsite (for 3 nights) with nearby accommodations for more, up to 100 day of event guests, indoor and outdoor space, bring your own catering/alcohol. Lots of loaner items to save you money and time: tables, chairs, linens, decor items, etc. We provide valet parking, bartender, officiant, on site assistance, more at no additional cost. Price is $15K, but we will assist you in booking and collecting $ from your overnight guests for their B&B style rooms and apply that to the total. Most couples recoup $7K by doing this, as guests expect to pay for overnight accommodations anyway. That gets you access for 4 days, 3 nights for about $8K. Look at this fantastic wedding photo!!!!

We got an deep dump of snow on May 21st, 2022, and the couple just went with it. I have the cape as a loaner item, and she was delighted to put it to use. The air temp was about 38, and this photo was taken right as dinner was about to start, just outside the Lodge portico. So amazing!

We have a lovely vendor who provides our clients with beautiful and delicious wedding cakes. She recently posted about a "Unity Cake" she made for a blended family. We LOVE this idea and hope is spreads!

A beautiful, but plain, wedding cake that can be decorated by the wedding couple and their children! How great is that!
