We hosted our Spring Engaged Couples Open House Weekend and Mini Wedding Expo this weekend... It was an incredible success. We did things a bit different and will build on those successes moving forward.

One of the vendors who assisted us was Jessica Domin. She has done flowers for a couple of weddings so far for us, and did a lovely job each time. This bouquet she brought for me is 3 days old and looking just lovely. She strives to "wow" her clients. July 28th, starting with registration at 5:30, from 6 PM until 8 PM for $5.00. Located at the Ute Pass Cultural Center in the lower parking area. Kids ages 2 – 7 will be eligible for a set of bike lights, (front and back with batteries), t-shirt while supplies last. We will have some short races and give away the left over Aspen Valley Medals. Then at 8 PM until 11 PM we will have 8 year old and up participate in the Bike the Night Ride. They can choose from 1 mile, 8 mile and 12 mile loops.
$5.00 for children 2 - 7,
$10.00 for 1st child, then $5.00 for each additional child. Use Promo code 2NDCHILD and save $5.00. There will be a pizza party at Ute Pass Brewery starting at 9 PM. There will be prize money awarded for best costumes.

Proceeds benefit the Teller County Composite High School Mountain Bike team.

This is why we require day of event insurance.... Weddings are usually adult fun times, not so much for children. If you are invited to a "no children, please" wedding, understand it is because the hosts know that there will not be much of interest or fun for the young ones. They are likely going to be much better entertained at a sleep over at friends or spending some time with grandparents.

The boy's mother described the bill as “completely astronomical.”
