We had an amazing time this past week at the Dream Vacations River Summit on AmaWaterways! It was an incredible week exploring the Netherlands and Belgium and immersing ourselves in the culture of the region. During the day, we enjoyed informative tours and had the opportunity to network with River Cruise suppliers on board for the summit.

During our recent visit to Marseille, France we had the pleasure of touring the beautiful Châteauneuf-du-Pape region and stopping at Bouachon Le Pavillon vineyard. It was an incredible experience that showcased the essence of Châteauneuf-du-Pape.

The pavillon itself is a hidden gem nestled amidst lush vineyards, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by knowledgeable staff who shared the rich history and winemaking traditions of Bouachon. We were treated to a tasting of their exquisite wines, each sip taking us on a journey of flavors and aromas that truly captured the spirit of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. It was evident that Bouachon’s commitment to quality has been recognized through their AOC (Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée) rating.

The AOC rating, established in 1937, is a prestigious designation given to wines produced in specific regions of France that meet strict quality standards and regulations. Châteauneuf-du-Pape was the first AOC rated wine in France!
It serves as a guarantee to consumers that the wines from Bouachon Le Pavillon are made with utmost care and adhere to the rules set forth by the appellation. We loved the wine so much we may or may not have had a case of our three favorites sent back home to the States…but fun fact: Don’t ask for one of their nice wooden wine boxes. They are not for sale…no matter how much you offer!

Whether you’re a wine connoisseur or simply appreciate the finer things in life, a visit to Bouachon Le Pavillon is a must. You’ll be welcomed with open arms and a glass of exceptional wine. 🍷✨

These are our favorite things to see and do in this mesmerizing city!

•Explore the stunning architecture of Sagrada Familia and Park Güell. These iconic landmarks designed by Antoni Gaudí are must-see attractions.

•Take a stroll along Las Ramblas, a vibrant street filled with shops, cafes, and street performers. Don’t forget to visit the famous Boqueria Market for fresh produce and local delicacies.🍓🌮

•Enjoy the beautiful beaches of Barcelona, such as Barceloneta, where you can relax, swim, or try various water sports. Don’t miss the opportunity to dine at one of the beachfront restaurants.☀️🌊

•Take a cable car ride to Montjuïc Hill and enjoy panoramic views of the city. Explore the Montjuïc Castle and the Magic Fountain, which offers a spectacular light and water show.🚡
