October is our absolute favorite month to visit Okaloosa Island. Let me tell you 3 reasons why:
1. The BEST sunsets happen in October!
2. Less tourists, but the weather is still amazing and the water is still warm enough to swim.
3. There are still plenty of events going on, including Tricks & Treasures Halloween at the The Boardwalk, the Pink October 5K, and the DESTIN FISHING RODEO all month!

The comments on this post are the best. But seriously, you will see all kinds of wildlife from the Okaloosa Island Pier! We love taking a walk after dinner and looking for turtles and dolphins. 🐬🐢

The Majestic Osprey is just one of many bird species you can see from the pier. Come take a walk with us, and see them hunt bait fish. The cheapest family experience along the coast! $2 per person which is good all day!!!!

Proud to share that there are now two Borrow Bins near Emerald Towers West. One at each public beach access point on either side of our building! This is the latest one, sponsored by none other than the famous Dan in the Sand!

If you stay with us, you can check these bins for FREE beach toys and treasures before going to buy more! And when you check-out, you can leave your unwanted toys in the Borrow Bins instead of throwing them in the dumpster! It's a great way to share with others and reduce waste.
