Mykonos is a white-washed, cosmopolitan, popular party island in Greece. It’s known for its sandy beaches, windy climate, glamorous nightlife, and traditional windmills that sit atop Mykonos Town. This island captivates you the second you arrive (especially after a long ferry ride.) According to Greek mythology, Mykonos was a battleground where omnipotent Zeus fought fearful Titans and Hercules lured and killed the Giants.

For me, Mykonos was a paradise of relaxation where I was pampered with in-hotel massages and poolside everflowing white wine. I didn’t get to scope out any celebrities during my time there, but Mykonos sure made me feel like one.

If you’re new to traveling, planning a trip may seem a little daunting. Over the past few years, I have planned countless trips with day-by-day itineraries within and outside of the U.S. For a 7-day trip, I average spending 20-30 hours researching the best accommodations, travel routes, transportation, dining and drinks, hidden gems, historical and natural attractions, airfare, and culture. Most do not have the time or energy to plan a trip so extensively, so I am here to do it for you with a custom and personalized travel guide/itinerary. Each trip includes a consultation in order to create a trip that best fits you. If you are taking the time and money to go on your getaway, I want to make sure you make the most of your time while you are there.

We will work together to determine your accommodations, airfare, points of interest, travel style, and ultimately your itinerary while incorporating budget, safety, and convenience.

Google Maps.

I use this as my comprehensive itinerary that I can access instantly. It is where I document all of my points of interest including attractions, restaurants, experiences, accommodations, stops, and routes. Once I have complied all of my excessive dropped pins, I am easily able to determine the best way to group these pins in a day-by-day itinerary. Even though I also like a relaxing getaway, this helps me maximize the most out of my vacation- I like to see it all. I am also able to write little notes about each stop to help me remember why I flagged it and how much of a priority it is. The best part is that I can easily access and save directions, which I am always exceedingly cautious of since no one wants to get (totally) stranded in a foreign country.

Pro tip: Google Maps works better than Apple Maps when you’re outside of the U.S.

Fort Wayne Airport is the most convenient option but often the most expensive. My favorite is making the drive to Chicago O’Hare for international flights on the low.

I’m more often than not an AirBnB girl, but here are a few of my favorite hotels:

The Dreamcatcher – San Juan, Puerto Rico
o A small bohemian boutique hotel that offers unique rooms, caters to a vegan diet, and provides outdoor rainforest-like showers.

Damianos Mykonos Hotel – Mykonos, Greece
o A white-washed, classic Mediterranean style, family-run hotel that takes hospitality and customer service to the next level

I am all about bang-for-your-buck. Call me the couponer of vacationing. I stalk Google Flights more often than I’d like to admit. I exhaust every accommodation platform for what is most suitable because…what if I miss something!? I often compile my airline points and research promotions. I tend to book the most reasonable accommodation I can find within my trip-subjective set of priorities. Will I stay in a hostel if it means extending my adventure for a few more days? Absolutely. Will I book the cave house overlooking the ocean with a private indoor/outdoor hot tub in Santorini if I score it for $150 a night? Of course! Will I travel off-season to save some money and avoid the crowds? Duh. I always try to book the most luxurious option within my budget while still leaving room for experiences, dining, commute, rentals, and airfare. My travel style tends to be “on the go”- I want to pack as much as I can into my day while still indulging in and appreciating each experience. I like variety. Sign me up for a cruise, all-inclusive resort, or an immersive and cultural experience. No matter where I am, natural attractions are always my number one. I can’t get enough of beaches and National Parks. I love going off the beaten path to find the most stunning views and hidden gems.
