I may be old and my hips may be bad, but I still love to hang with my mom as she does yard work!

Happy 4th of July everyone! Remember to keep your furry family members safe and sound during this holiday weekend.

04/25/2014

What's going on this weekend? Mom is going to be out of town. That means Dad is going to have to get up and take Fred and me out for our morning walks. Tee Hee!!!!

04/22/2014

My darn brother, Fred! Mom walked us last night & Fred decided to roll in something "fragrant". Mom yanked him away from his temptation and twisted her wrist! Now she has an Ace bandage on her right wrist and is telling me she is in a lot of pain! Fred, oh, Fred!!!!

04/11/2014

Happy Sibling Day to my 2 brothers; Fred & Rock. I love you both, bunches!!!

Look who it is! My brother Fred!!! The Pittie of the Week for Fort Wayne Pitbull Coalition (FWPBC)! He even mentions me in his story. What a great brother!!!

Holy Batman! It's Wednesday! We have a big apology to make to all of you... We forgot to post Pittie of the Week on Monday! We deeply apologize for the forgetfulness. Hope you all can forgive us... But we think you will once you meet Fred. We won't take much of your time because this boys story is a good one! So take the time to read about him!

My name is Fred. I am 7 1/2 years old! I have been with my family since late October 2006. I was 10 weeks old when I was rescued. My birth sisters and I were victims to a sad situation when we were born. My sisters were immediately taken by loving families but I was left alone and really scared. That was until my daddy picked me up and took my to my “furever” home! That is the best moment of my entire life! Now that I’m living the good life my parents let me sleep wherever I want. Mom says I take up more room than she and my dad combined. I don’t believe it, but I do like to stretch! I also went on vacation to Northern Michigan a few years ago where I got to swim in a big lake. I have big dreams of going there again. Oh yea, and my partner in crime is my brother Moose. We do everything together! I love to go on walks, play catch with a Frisbee, drool while I’m waiting for food, or playing tug of war with sticks. I am not sure I will ever grow up. Mom calls me her perpetual teenager. I love to give kisses and snuggle, but I am pretty rambunctious and active. I think when I grow up I want to be a good big brother to another rescued Pittie! I would also like to drive a car so I can roll the windows ALL the way down (instead of just part way down).

The Fort Wayne Pitbull Coalition has a "Pittie of the Week" feature. Guess what? My brother, Fred, is going to be featured the week of March 3rd! I am so very proud of that goober!!! Be sure to watch for him! This is a sneak preview of his pics!

Happy Valentine's Day to all my two-legged and four-legged friends. I am sure Mom and Dad will have some treats for me, Fred and Rock. But they won't contain chocolate!!!!

01/31/2014

I love cat food and I cannot lie!

01/27/2014

The cat and I had a breakthrough today. We got within a few feet of each other and the cat didn't hiss at me! We may become friends yet, that is if I stop stealing his treats!

01/21/2014

I'm not messing with the cat. The cat's not messing with me. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

01/20/2014

There is a CAT in the house! How did that happen, you ask? A stray came to our door in the cold weather. After a few days of hanging around, Dad and Mom took it in. I have very soft-hearted folks.....

A gentle reminder for my FB friends living in the Midwest; keep your pets inside and warm during this sub-zero arctic blast. The sub-zero temps are not "paw friendly".

Happy New Year to my 2-legged and 4-legged friends. Wise words from Young Williams Animal Center! Make sure your 4-legged family members are safe tonight. I hope you all have a healthy and happy 2014!

As you have friends and family over tonight don't forget to make sure that your animals are secure. With so many people coming in and out, it is easy for a pet to slip out as well.

My brother Fred was NOT a good boy on our morning walk yesterday. He saw a cat and broke free of his harness and leash. Mom and I had to chase him for blocks! While on the run he rolled in something fragrant. Mom was not happy! He was a good boy on this morning's walk. It is almost as if he knew he had better behave. Sometimes Fred is too smart for his own good!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Have a wonderful day with your family and friends. Stop for a moment, contemplate, and be thankful for all the blessings in your life! I am thankful for my health (I can still chase cats). I am thankful for my brother Fred (even though he still acts like a puppy), and I am thankful for the peanut butter bone treats that Mom and Dad make for me!

Very excited for my TV show appearance this afternoon. I will be taping Potpourri with hosts John Dickmeyer and Randi Ginder for Access TV in Fort Wayne. This will be my 2nd time on their show!

Today I am celebrating the service of our 2-legged and 4-legged heroes! My paw is raised in admiration for all you do for our counrty! Have a great Veteran's Day!

10/31/2013

Happy Halloween to my 2-legged and 4-legged friends! If you have furry ones at home, please keep them safe this holiday. Have your pets remain indoors this evening and don't let them indulge in candy (especially chocolate). Mom and Dad always give me and my brother a peanut butter bone for Halloween. It's a safe treat and we love them!!!!

This is the week of 2 life changing events in my life; 7 years ago, on Oct. 22, my brother Fred was rescued and brought home. He is a good boy (sometimes) and doesn't irritate me anymore (too much). I love you, Fred! 5 years ago, on Oct. 24, my sister Sweetie left us for the Rainbow Bridge. I miss chasing squirrels with you, Sweetie! You were a good girl (always) and will forever be in our hearts! The picture posted was taken shortly after Fred joined our rescue family! He is resting on Sweetie.

I had my annual wellness exam today. It went well and I am still a healthy boy! Not bad for 13 1/2!!! I got some medicated shampoo for my skin allergies, but other than that, I am good to go! Thank you Dr. Val and Westside Animal Hospital for your loving care and concern for my health!!!

I have a mind of my own. I give my mom reminders of this from time to time. This morning was one of those times. We went for our morning walk. My brother Fred was on-leash (as always). I was off-leash. I spotted a neighborhood dog walking her owner as they came up the block. I walked toward them wagging my tail, but this was opposite the direction my mom and Fred were walking. I ignored my mom's calls for me to come. I had my morning walk with the neighbor dog and her owner. It was fun!

07/29/2013

I had a small problem this morning. I chased a cat and when I came back home, I layed down and couldn't get back up. My mom freaked out!!! She ran into the house to get my dad to help me stand back up. By the time Mom came back out of the house, I was standing in the yard wagging my tail. I know I shouldn't chase cats at my age. Sometimes, I just can't help it!!!!
