For those still wondering about the ms state deadline, the state of MS has extended filing season until May 17, 2021.

Heads up Mississippi residents! According to the MS agent I spoke with, MS will not be extending filing time. Of course this could possibly change, but as of now the decision is to stay with the April 15 filing deadline.

Filing deadline has been extended to July 15 for Federal. We are still waiting to see if MS and other states will extend their date.

In response to the COVID-19, from a tax standpoint, there has been a 90 day extension put into place for tax payment only. To have your filing requirement extended, you will need to file for the 6 month automatic extension by April 15 and have at least 90% of tax due paid within the 90 day payment extension. As of March 17th news, tax refunds will continue.
