☀️🌴 BAHAMAS! 🌴☀️

Birch Road Travel spent time today with representatives of the Bahamas and received Bahamas Specialist Certified. There's no question of the beauty of these islands but we loved learning about the one of a kind experiences the islands offer.

Our favorite part was learning about the People-to-People Experience! This immersive cultural experience pairs inquisitive travelers with volunteer locals who generously open their hearts and homes to share their love of these islands. If you're a food lover, they will connect you with a fellow foodie for a once-in-lifetime culinary adventure. If you love history and culture, they will pair you with a like-minded culture buff to explore The Bahamas' past and present. If you want to see the natural wonders, you'll be paired with an ambassador who knows the ins and outs of every blue hole and pink sand beach.

Life Goal: end up in a flight like this. ✈️🍷Happy Friday! 🥳

The flight was loaded with 400 passengers, but the airline made a mistake when they stocked only 200 lunches so the crew was in a difficult situation. However, an intelligent flight attendant came up with an idea. About 30 minutes after take-off she announced: “Ladies and gentlemen, I don’t know how this happened, but we have 400 passengers on board and only 200 lunches! Anyone who is kind enough to give up their lunch for someone else will receive free wine throughout the flight.” Her next announcement was made 4 hours later: “Ladies and gentlemen, if anyone wants to change their mind, we still have 200 lunches available!”

Couldn't resist sharing this adorable exercise from the Department of State. It's also a good reminder to check those passports, friends, and keep them current! For anyone wondering: I'll be going to the Mediterranean this year, by horse (this was NEVER part of my training). Where are you all going!?
