For those skiers and snowboarders looking for some fresh powder, King Pine Ski Area is just a short 10-minute drive away. There you can enjoy downhill skiing, cross country skiing, skating, tubing, snow shoeing, and sleigh rides. Cranmore Mountain is 35 minutes and Attitash Mountain is 42 minutes.
In the warm summer months enjoy the crystal-clear waters of Lake Ossipee Village Beach Club on Broad Bay just 0.9 miles down the road, a short 15-minute walk or a quick drive with plenty of parking. There you’ll find a large private sandy beach, picnic tables, and bathroom facilities. Bring your own floats, beach chairs, and beach towels. There is a roped off swimming area; however, there is no lifeguard on duty. Beach rules are in the house guide book and hung on the basement door. Please read them. Next to the Beach Club is Goodhue Boat Company where you can rent fishing boats, sport boats, pontoons, and even tubes, waterskies, and wakeboards. Make your reservations early!
Looking for some great shopping? Settlers Green Outlet Village in North Conway is a scenic a 28-minute drive away. You’ll also find many quaint shops including the famous Zeb’s Country Store, many restaurants, and the Conway Scenic Railroad.
Other local popular attractions include the Kangamangus Highway (stunning during leaf-peeping season!), Indian Mound Golf Course, Diana‘s Baths, and hiking and snowmobile trails. Local restaurants within a 15-minute drive include The Wooden Spoon, Jake’s Seafood and Grill, Mountainview Station, Max‘s Restaurant and Pub, Hobbs Tavern and Brewing Company, and Bobby Sue’s Ice Cream.
