Inspired by the rich history of this property and its lush surroundings, we decided to give nature’s unsung heroes a spotlight — yes, we’re talking about alllll the bugs (and mushrooms, and flowers) that keep this ecosystem buzzing! 🐞🪲🐛🍄 Who knew creepy crawlies could be so chic?

But hey, in the land of funk and flair anything goes! From vibrant hues, to natural textures, we’ve crafted a space that’s as bold as it is beautiful. And our guests LOVE it 🥰

For those that are new here, hi! We’re - your next getaway with family or friends in the heart of the Catskills! Our property is the perfect secluded retreat away from the city, just 2 hours north of NYC. Utilize our large fire pit and enjoy the fall foliage or sit back and relax in the hot tub or heated pool. Head to Hunter or Windham Mountain for skiiing or snow show throughout the 15 acres of our property or on nearby trails - it’s a perfect group retreat for any season.

We’ve been incredibly lucky to have so many guests choose to leave us reviews over this past year! Out of 30 stays, 27 guests have given us reviews all of which have been positive. We are immensely grateful that people have not only loved our house, but have chosen to share their experience with others through helpful and kind reviews.

I think it’s also important to note that the journey of hosting guests at Bugg Haus throughout the year has not been an easy one. This experience has taught us a lot, and it’s exciting to be able to share the wins and show that the hard work really does pay off knowing that not every day is an easy one.

Yes, purple mushrooms do exist.

I give you the Cortinarius Violaceus, a very striking mushroom indeed. Many seasoned foragers have never had the pleasure to see this beautiful mushroom since it’s such a rarity.
