Established in 1993. Started after college in 1988 drawing landscape designs. Rick Martens earned his Horticulture degree in 1988 from Las Positas College in Livermore, CA.

- Past President of the CLCA (California Landscape Contractors Association) East Bay Chapter.

-Past member of the Niles Rotary in Fremont.

- Past President of the Buon Tempo Club of Castro Valley, an Italian Club that promotes Italian heritage and provides scholarships for high school students of Italian decent.
