Enjoy a leisure trail ride through the maritime forest of Buxton Woods and catch a glimpse of the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse as you travel over the sand dunes to the unspoiled Frisco beach. Trot along miles of beautiful sand on a well-seasoned horse chosen carefully to suit each rider. Guided tours are two hours and are offered year round. Speed limits are back to normal! However there may be standing water on the roads so allow yourself plenty of time to travel to the barn. Check our website at www.equineadventures.com for the latest ride times and availability. Plan on showing up for your ride even if it's raining where you are staying - it can be pouring up the beach and sunny in Frisco!

Our ponies and staff have been laboring hard this summer - we're going to take a page out of Hattie's playbook, and take a much needed rest! The barn and office will be closed from September 2nd until September 8th. Look for an update to our schedule toward the end of the week, and we look forward to seeing you soon!

This guy does it all - crosses ditches, water, bridges, rides on the beach.

If you have booked a ride with us in the next few days please allow yourself plenty of time to get to Frisco from where you are staying, especially if you're north of Oregon inlet. There will be standing rainwater on highway 12 causing traffic to slow down.
If you're coming from Duck or Corolla it will take at least 2 hours, probably longer. Plan on showing up for your ride regardless of what the weather is like in your location. We will notify you if we decide to cancel the ride. Thank you!
