MedSeas trip to Malta - September 2023 - Week of Our Lady of Victories. Joining us on our 12th year of bringing groups to Malta...representatives of all three US Associations of the Order of Malta...Federal, American and Western Associations. We are headed back to Malta this September the 3rd - 10th (3rd is Malta arrival day). We will stay at a 5 Star hotel with complementary Partial Sea View rooms. As usual we will have venues not open to the public and Order of Malta members will find a number of special programs with a focus on the Knights of St. John and the Great Siege of Malta 1565.. Update: August 1st, 2021 - Malta is now accepting the USA CDC certificate showing the person has both shots.

Currently Malta is open to tourists from the EU and UK. Those arriving from other countries (like the USA) will have to quarantine for 2 weeks even if vaccinated and negative Covid-19 test. Our Malta trip will take place in September of 2022.

Part II - Photos from a small part of the Good Friday procession in Mosta taken in 2015. The solemn procession, with 10 or more life-size statues depicting scenes from the passion and crucifixion of Jesus Christ, can take as many as 3 hours to move out of the Basilica. The procession weaves their way around the streets of Mosta and re-enters the Basilica some 3 hours later after dark. Each statue has a group of penitents walking behind barefoot with chains and the procession also includes the two thieves walking with large crosses, Roman soldiers, and many others.

Currently, the restrictions on travel to Malta will prevent us from moving forward with our September trip at this time. We will update when changes to the current restrictions have been made. We look forward to our return to Malta.

July 25, 2020 Update: Currently we are waiting for the EU to open to American travelers. We hope there will be an opportunity to return to Malta this Fall. We will be updating our schedule shortly on our website at medseas.com

Group of Virginia College students at Id-Dar tal-Providenza – Id-Dar tal-Providenza

Just returned from our Christendom College mission/cultural trip to Malta. The team was lead by Mike Brown, head of the Missions Program at Christendom College and Fr. Joseph-Mary Brown - Congregation of St. John was our Spiritual Director. The team consisted of students and alumni who contributed 20 hrs during the week in support of Dar tal-Providenza.
