In observance of Veterans Day, the Callaway Chamber of Commerce will be closed today, Monday, November 11th. We honor and thank all veterans for their service and sacrifice.

We will resume regular business hours on November 12th.

📣 Tamara Tateosian, our CEO at the Callaway Chamber of Commerce, has been selected as the 2025 President of the Chamber of Commerce Executives of Missouri (CCEM)! 🎉

Tamara, who has led our Chamber since 2015, will continue her impactful work here in Callaway County while taking on this additional leadership role at the state level. As President of CCEM, she aims to strengthen the connections between chambers across Missouri, advocate for local businesses, and promote economic growth statewide.

Tamara also received “Chamberbertha,” an honorary symbol of leadership passed on to each incoming CCEM president for the past 29 years. 👏

2024 Show-Me Innovation Teen Pitch Competition Winners 🌟

Our teen entrepreneurs amazed us at the 2nd Annual Show-Me Innovation Teen Pitch Competition, presented by the Callaway Chamber of Commerce Workforce Development. These teens have some incredible ideas for Callaway County!

🥇 1st Place ($750): Social Solutions – Isabelle Borcherding, a student at North Callaway R1 School District
Social Solutions is ready to meet your marketing needs with a range of services. Isabelle plans to use her funding to invest in startup equipment and launch her business!

🥈 2nd Place ($250): Homemade by Bry – Bryli DeLashmutt, Homeschooled
Homemade by Bry offers delicious baked goods and beautiful crocheted items. Bryli will purchase inventory and equipment to prepare for holiday orders!

We're excited to see these young minds grow into the entrepreneurs of tomorrow!

2024 Show-Me Innovation Collegiate Pitch Competition Winners 🎓

The 3rd Annual Show-Me Innovation Collegiate Pitch Competition, presented by Missouri SBDC at LU, was full of creativity and passion. Meet our winners:

🥇 1st Place ($2,000): Inn by Ally, LLC – Alyson Hollrah, a student at William Woods University
Inn by Ally, LLC manages short- and long-term rental properties. Alyson will use her funding to make key renovations, boosting the appeal of her properties for future tenants.

🥈 2nd Place ($1,000): Pure Life Community – Kenny Angeles & Latham Logue, students at Westminster College MO
Pure Life Community is dedicated to providing affordable housing in Callaway County. Kenny and Latham will invest in their first rental property, working toward their vision of a 70-unit housing development.

We're so proud of these collegiate level entrepreneurs for their passion and hard work!

2024 Show-Me Innovation Pitch Competition Winners 🎉

We’re thrilled to announce the winners of the 9th Annual Show-Me Innovation Pitch Competition for adults, presented by The Callaway Bank! These entrepreneurs showcased their incredible ideas, competing for funding and prize packages to support their ventures.

🏆 1st Place ($3,000): Flutter Lash Lounge – Alissa Kendrick
Flutter Lash Lounge will offer lash extensions and permanent cosmetics, helping individuals feel confident and beautiful. Alissa plans to establish her studio right here in Callaway County!

🥈 2nd Place ($1,500): Killer Sweet Desserts – Allison Pawlish
Killer Sweet Desserts specializes in gourmet baked goods, from morning sweets to afternoon treats. Allison will use her winnings to purchase a mobile cart, making her treats more accessible at community events!

Congratulations to these inspiring entrepreneurs! We can't wait to see their businesses grow.

✨ Sensory Playground Groundbreaking at Memorial Park! ✨

The Leadership Callaway Cohort of 2024 proudly celebrated the groundbreaking of a new sensory playground at Memorial Park in Fulton! 🎉

As part of their class project, the cohort raised over $40,000, including a generous $15,000 contribution from Callaway County Special Services, to make this vision a reality. This inclusive space will feature sensory-rich elements designed to support the development of all children, especially those with sensory processing challenges.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported the Leadership Callaway Cohort of 2024 and helped bring this incredible project to life 🙌

HWI, A member of Calderys, Expands and Relocates Operations to Fulton, Missouri.

The relocation and new construction effort is the result of a collaborative partnership between the Fulton Area Development Foundation (FADF), Callaway County, the Industrial Development Agency (IDA), and the Missouri Department of Economic Development (DED). These organizations worked closely with HWI leaders to develop an attractive package and facilitate discussions that brought this exciting project to fruition.
