ICELAND -

GETTING THERE: The easiest ways to get to Iceland are by air or cruise ship port of call. You can fly to Keflavik International Airport (KEF) in Keflavik. The airport is located about 45 minutes from Reykjavík. It is recommended to use the flybus, a taxi or rental car as most of the car rentals in Iceland offer pick up at the airport.

LANGUAGE: The official language in Iceland is Icelandic. But English and Danish are also spoken.

CLIMATE: Iceland experiences a cool, temperate maritime climate. The average daytime temperatures in winter are about 34º F and about 54º F in summer. High season is June to August with warm summer months and long sunny days.

MONEY/CURRENCY (CREDIT CARDS, DEBIT CARDS, TIPPING, ATMS): The main currency is the Krona (ISK), and credit and debit cards are also widely accepted. Tipping is usually already included as a service charge, so you will not need to tip more.

ELECTRICITY: Iceland uses two types of European plugs, C and F. The voltage is 230 or 220 volts and 50Hz.

FEATURED DESTINATION - PUERTO RICO is divided into 7 major regions - each having their own unique attractions, landscapes and cultural highlights.

Metro Region - Urban, historical and vibrant with cobblestone streets, Spanish colonial architecture and historical forts. This area also has beaches, large hotels with casinos and Plaza Las Americas the largest shopping center in the Caribbean.

North Region - Coastal and adventurous area with aged limestone hills. Located approximately 1 hour from San Juan Airport and features stunning views and the Rio Camuy Cave Park - one of the largest underground cave systems in the world.

South Region - Historical and cultural charm. Located approximately 1.5-2 hours from San Juan airport and features remote beaches and calm Caribbean waters good for water sports and outdoor recreation. Many museums and colorful landmarks in addition to the Hot Springs of Coamo which legend has as the fountain of youth.

East Region - Beachy, nature-filled and island hopping friendly. Features tranquil beaches, diverse towns, upscale resorts, botanical gardens, art galleries and a variety restaurants. Most popular attraction is the El Yunque National Forest - the only subtropical rainforest in the US. Features hiking, waterfalls and panoramic views. Located within an hour of San Juan Airport.

West Region - Surfing, laid-back and scenic. Surfing capital of Puerto Rico and the Caribbean and features the best sunsets on the island. Located approximately 2-2.5 hours from San Juan Airport. Attractions include Los Morrillos Lighthouse, salt flats, Cabo Rojo National Wildlife Refuge and Guanica State Forest.

Central Mountain Region - Rural, adventurous, and rich in Taino heritage. Home to the highest mountain in Puerto Rico and the longest ziplines in the world. Approximately 1-1.5 hours from San Juan Airport and features scenery from mountains to caves, plains to canyons and rivers making it a destination for adventures of all kinds.

Culebra & Vieques Island Regions - Known as the Spanish Virgin Islands. You can reach these islands via water taxi, ferry or small plane from San Juan. Known for their breathtaking beaches and water activities. Mosquito Bay in Vieques is the brightest bioluminescent bay in the world according to the Guinness Book of World Records.
