On April 9, 1961, Walt Disney dedicated the Snow White Grotto. Located at the eastern end of the moat around Sleeping Beauty Castle

Through the years, guests have coins into the well, along with their wishes. They may not realize that making their own wish also grants a wish. For decades, the money collected in the Wishing Well has been donated to children’s charities. Inscribed on the well is the sentiment: “Your wishes will help children everywhere.”

Overheard at Disneyland: “Those canoes run on a track, right? People don’t actually have to paddle do they?”

I assure you, the Davy Crockett Explorer Canoes are NOT guided by a track and you do have to paddle your way (along with some new friends) around the Rivers of America. Be sure anyone going on this adventure is up for some physical exertion and has no mobility issues. That said, this classic (and so very Walt Disney) attraction offers incredible views of Frontierland and Critter Country while providing a serene break from the theme park action.

Don’t let the size deter you; small is SO MUCH EASIER to navigate. Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park are only a football field length apart, so park hopping is quick and easy! Plus, the connection to Walt Disney is something no other park will ever have. He LIVED on site while it was being built (the apartment is still there!) He walked Main Street, wandered Fantasyland, and rode the waters of ‘it's a small world’. This is the kind of Disney magic you just won’t find anywhere else.
