Hello future travelers. Come join us as we see Driving Miss Daisy. This show is about an elderly Jewish widow living in Atlanta who cam no longer drive. Her son insists she allow him to hire a driver, which in the 1950's meant an African American man. She resists any change in her life but Hoke, the driver, is hired by her son. She refuses to allow him to drive her anywhere at first, but Hoke slowly wins her over with his native good graces. The movie is taken directly from the stage play. It covers over twenty years of the pair's life together as they slowly build a relationship that transcends their differences. If you loved the movie, you will for sure love the play.

We planned a Mystery Tour for yesterday, and it turned out amazing. Out travelers had no idea where we would be traveling to and they didn't care. We filled up 2 motor coach buses and we were on our way to Greenville, SC. We stopped for lunch and there we told everyone they had tickets to see Ringling Brothers and Barnum Bailey Circus 🎪 and it was amazing. We also celebrated Michael's 60th birthday. His sweet mom made cake for everyone to help celebrate. Hope you had a great birthday Michael. Can't wait for our next trip.

Happy Sunday travelers. D&S Travel Tours is traveling Over the Rainbow to Beech Mountain to help celebrate the Land of Oz's 30th annual at Oz Festival. This is one of the World's largest and wonderful, Wizard of Oz Events!!!!

Come experience the magic of Oz. During this event where the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion are ready to perform for you on your journey to meet THE WIZARD!!! LOOK OUT for the Wicked Witch and her winged monkeys plus others from the classic story.

The Oz event does consist of some uneven paths and has some ramps and some stairs during the tour so the attraction is not wheelchair friendly. Take good walking shoes and a jacket as it is cooler on top of the mountain. We will also have dinner at the Daniel Boone Inn that is included in the price.

We will see a performance of "The Lost Colony" that is an outdoor production and have dinner at a local restaurant that is included. Day two we will begin the day at Elizabethan Gardens that features a variety of beautiful flowers, plants, and trees. Our next stop is Roanoke Island Festival Park. The site allows guest to experience first hand what life was like for the first English settlers in 1585. We will then visit Bodie Lighthouse.

D & S Travel Tours will be getting together this Friday, April 28, 2023 to talk about International and Domestic Travel. We are meeting at First Assembly of God-777 S. Myrtle School Road in Gastonia, NC 28052 at 6:00pm.

We will be in the back parking lot in the Cafeteria.

We had so much fun on our first trip of the year today. We went to see Riverdance, and it was amazing. We then went to the Open Kitchen restaurant for dinner and had a great meal. It was fun getting back together again.

We are excited to get together once again on a bus to head to Hendersonville, NC on Saturday, December17th. We are going to Flat Rock Playhouse to see their wonderful Christmas show. This past Saturday D&S took a bus load to have lunch at A Day In the Country and the food was delicious. We shopped for a bit and then we went to the Flat Rock Playhouse to see Mama Mia. The show was awesome and the music just made you want to stand up and dance in your seat. Thank you for traveling with us and we hope that you also had a wonderful time.

We had a fun filled week as we traveled to Vermont. We went to West Point Military Academy in New York, Sugar Brush Farm where they make syrup, Creamery Tour, and The Trapp Family Lodge. We also visited the Vermont Teddy Bear Company and so much more. This was an exciting trip and we can't wait to do it again next year. Who is getting ready for the upcoming holidays??? D&S Travel is loading a bus on Thursday, December 1, 2022 to head to Charlotte. We will visit the Billy Graham Library and have an included lunch at Graham Brothers Dairy Bar. After lunch we explore the life of Billy Graham and experience the gospel he preached for decades. The library will be decorated in all its glory for Christmas. After our visit here we will head to Concord Mills Mall for shopping and dinner on your own. Find that perfect gift at this 1.4 million square foot mall. Our next stop is the Charlotte Motor Speedway to experience the incredible Christmas light display. We will drive through the infield and see 800 displays and over 4 million lights. We also plan to stop at the Christmas Village inside the speedway.

D&S Travel Tours is heading to Tk Family Farm, a first generation apple farm in the Green Creek area of Polk County, North Carolina on Wednesday, October 26th, 2022. We will have a guided tour of the Orchard and find out how apples are grown on some special kind of tree. You simply won't believe this until you see it. We will visit the packing facility and have the pleasure of buying some of the best apples you can find anywhere. After our visit here we head to Asheville for an included lunch at Moose's Restaurant and then go to the Asheville Farmers Market.

Saturday we took a bus to go see the play To Kill A Mockingbird at the Belk Theater and it was wonderful. Great meeting with others and also talking about more trips. We then went to eat dinner at the Open Kitchen and it was a great time with food and friends.

We will be traveling to Hampton Valley, NC on Thursday, April 14th to have a great experience as we go to the Moravian Cookie Company and try some samples. We will go to the Shiloh Amish store where we will have a delicious lunch (included) and then you can shop away for some delicious homemade bread and all kinds of interesting items. We will then go to the Amish Furniture Store and the Amish Creamery where you get some delicious ice cream. We travel then to their flower nursery where the flowers should be in full bloom.
