I just spent a week in northern Italy, hiking the Dolomites and exploring small towns. On the way back we detoured to Neuschwanstein Castle in southern Germany, which was Walt's inspiration for Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland and subsequently all the other "Disney" Castle aesthetics. (You may also recognize it from Soarin' Around the World!)

Built by Ludwig II in the 1880s, it's a really extravagant and very well-preserved/restored example of medieval design, built by a king who loved fairytales and felt he was born in the wrong time period. We weren't allowed to take pictures inside, but let me tell you the inside was fantastic and absolutely worth all the hype it's given.

I've been to Super Nintendo World at Universal Hollywood (CA), but this one will more closely resemble the original in Japan. I'm so excited for that Donkey Kong expansion too!

Happy ! Did you know there's a Hidden Mickey hiding in plain sight on the facade of Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout! in ? See image two for a close up and see if you can find it. There's only one set of bolts that are right side up - all the others are upside down and don't count as Mickeys!

When it comes to churros, Disneyland far surpasses Walt Disney World without question. The specialty flavors are all so interesting and fun to track down around the park. My favorite was the spiced shortbread churro -- it came with cookie butter dipping sauce and had the ultimate elevated churro flavor.

Tomorrow until August 4, experience extra Pixar magic in Disneyland at Pixar Fest! I got to see a preview of the fireworks show and it is so cute! Special character meet & greets, shows, and snacks are also in abundance. I'm loving Disneyland's event calendar so far this year -- this will be so fun!

Starting TOMORROW, February 27, packages for dates through October 2025 will be available to book!

Additionally, in 2025, guests staying at a Disney resort will get admission to one of Disney's water parks on their check-in day! This is a new and exciting perk to add to the list of benefits of staying on property!

I worked really hard on my princess round up on my latest trip, and I think I did pretty well if I may say so myself. Character dining is so fun and is a huge timesaver if you're wanting to get good time with the characters. We had lunch at Akershus and breakfast at Cinderella's Royal Table, so I only stood in one 30 minute line for Anna and Elsa, and got all these photos! And had good food while I was at it.

Pro tip: if you feel a bit awkward like I do, have a question ready to ask! My favorite was asking Ariel if she'd added anything to her collection lately. Her answer: "Well, I got another thingamabob, so now I have 21!" 😂

Eat dinner with me at Palo!

Palo is one of the adults-only restaurants on all Disney Cruise ships. On the Disney Wish, it's themed to remind you of Cogsworth from Beauty and the Beast, to match with the other adults-only restaurant, Enchante, which reminds you of Lumiere. The restaurant is advertised as only being an additional $50 per person. This is technically true - there is a prix-fixe menu where you may choose one of two options for all 4 courses for only an extra $50 per person. But, there's also a full menu of other delicious things that might come out to be extra. For full disclosure, our meal for 2 came out to $187 before gratuity.

Scroll through the photos to get descriptions of everything! The lobster pappardelle was actually one of the best things I've ever eaten in my life and I spend a lot more time thinking about it than I probably should.
