Velvet Farm Handmade Creations Inspired By Nature Where is Velvet Farm? I really couldn't tell you exactly where. The root vegetables are grown organically.

Since it's the farm I imagine when I dream of an earthy, organic paradise, it could be in many places! Maybe it's part of an English manor, or maybe it's nestled in a misty Scottish glen. Here's what's for sure: At Velvet Farm, the animals have names. The children don't leave home; instead, they grow up and become part of a bucolic farm community. And the beautiful things we handle every day are m

ade by hand. My work draws on discoveries from trips to Scotland and Iceland, as well as a lifelong obsession with English farm life and manor houses. I center my products around textiles – especially raw wool roving from my favorite source, a beautifully cared-for flock of happy Icelandic sheep. But I move beyond the world of fiber, too, forever seeking new ways to create the tactile elegance and rustic sophistication that fills the farmhouse in my head.
