This review is specifically for the Margaritaville at Sea Paradise 3-night sailing to Nassau, Bahamas and our ocean view cabin.

Good food at JWB and Fins Up
License to Chill package is a must! (VIP embarkation and disembarkation, 10 free drinks, dinner at JWB Steakhouse, Mimosa Brunch at JWB Steakhouse, $150 spa credit)
Budget pricing
Short getaway

Cons
The thermostat did not work in our room
Broken shower head
Small buffet, limited choices, food not great
Small shows similar to a smaller all-inclusive resort
Add cost of a flight to Florida

Overall: We spent just under $2000 for a 3-night cruise including the License to Chill package and the flight to Palm Beach. Value-wise, we may have been better off driving to Galveston for a 4-night Carnival cruise. However, if you go into this knowing what you are getting you can have an enjoyable time. I heard a few people getting off the ship telling the staff, “See you next month.” It’s seriously not all bad. It’s just not comparable to a larger cruise ship. So, it really depends what you are looking for. Would we go again? Probably not. I would be open to trying out The Margaritaville at Sea Islander, but Brian is ready to move on and try a new cruise line. Did I mention this was his first cruise?

Another thing to consider is the Heroes Sail Free program. If the dates work for your schedule, it may be worth booking for this deal. Teachers, police officers, and fire fighters included.
