Other things to know about the apartment. This is a Duplex, the other side is the "half" owner if there is something serious that needs to be addressed you can go up the ramp to her front door otherwise please text me ANYtime. I may not respond immediately but will as soon as i see the message (i.e. sleeping) . I do not live here. it is where I stay (when not rented) to visit with my mom (she lives in the other side) so you might have to meet with my cleaning person or my mom to do payments that's why I prefer online payments. less for them to deal with.
There is a smoke alarm atop the frig and fire extinguisher under the kitchen sink. If you smoke, PLEASE NO smoking in the apartment. I quit 20 years ago and the smell if very hard on me. Please smoke outside by the white shed, or in the back fenced in area (see coming gazebo notes) and please be responsible for all butts and trash. please make sure it is completely extinguish with water or sand and placed in the dumpster. Please know that I do have personal property in the other bedroom and some canned goods ect. in the cupboards, if you are in need it is fine, please replace if using the last of it i.e. mayo, ketchup, condiments, The pull out cupboard in the kitchen has single serving things I have accumulated if you need them please feel free to use them. I do have a dog, she is a Brittney and she does shed but not terrible. I clean as best I can. Please know there might be dog hair on the furniture as she loves the chairs to watch birds and squirrels.. :) If you are allergic to dogs, Please do not stay here. I would not want you to have problems with it. There is a vacuum in my bedroom closet if you need to use it. it's not the greatest as my other one goes back and forth with me when i come up to stay and clean but it will work in a pinch.. Also a broom and dust pan is provided by the back door. I am in the process of replacing the back door so i apologize for the make shift door closer. I hope to have it done by the end of May. If you get chilly, the base board heater in the sunroom and the living room can be turned on. Please know that during the day, the sun warms the apartment quite well, so please turn them off as not needed. "save the planet" :)
Please be advised that you should park right outside your door to the west side of the house. There is a outside yard light just inside of the door. There is wildlife around here; deer, grouse, squirrels, rabbits, neighbor's cats, but there has also been bear, bobcats, puma, wolves and coyotes. If you are coming in at dusk or dark, be aware of your surroundings and don't be afraid to make noise. The driveway all the way down and on the corner of the house is all motion lights. If you are going to be coming back at night, leave the side door light on for your return. We have never had any incidents but I want you to be aware so that would include walking back in the woods to the west of the house. Please know that the town has a curfew whistle, (really :0) when it goes off sometimes you will hear the coyotes yipping. It is cool to listen to, I just wouldn't want you to be scared, sometimes they are close by. Please do not walk on the dock of the pond for your safety. There is no fires in the fireplace. My apartment is always a work in progress, new paint here and there, fix this or that, so if you notice something please don't hesitate to let me know. :)
I am also going to share with you, this is my first time renting my apartment out like this. So if there is something you would like to suggest or have issue with, please let me know. Our home was rented by a family for several years and they left us quite a mess, so I try to keep working on it every time I come up. Speaking of that, IF I come up. I will NOT be staying in the apartment while you are renting it. I have a camper that you may see in side yard, that would be me. :) feel free to come say hi, if you need something. Otherwise I tend to just work around the house and yard cleaning up and making improvements. The fenced in back yard, the other side of the duplex, has a small dog. You may see him roaming around. His name is Bailey and he is very friendly and loves people. I am hoping also with the back storm door to also divide the back yard to "keep him on his side". :p so please beware of his presence (presents lol). On check out, I will do all laundry and clean for the next visitor. Please strip the bed and place all laundry in the shower in two piles; towels in one and sheets in the other. If the towels are wet, PLEASE hang them over the shower curtain rod, (not on shower curtain). Given the current COVID situation, Please know, I clean prior to anyone new coming in with medical grade disinfectant on all surfaces and wash all items. If you have any concerns, there is cleaner and bleach cleaners located under the sink in the kitchen and behind the bathroom door. Please make sure to dispose of all trash in the dumpster and please shut the lids. We do recycle here. If you could place all recycling in a bag (under kitchen sink) and tie and set inside the garage, it would be appreciated. Well, all and all. I am very proud of my apartment. I continue to update items and furniture. As spring and summer come, I will be doing more outside as well, flowers, gazebo, grill and parking area. Touch up paint and a different desk. Now that I have probably scared you from coming with all that. :( please know, As retired EMS, I love it here. It is quiet, calm and relaxing. There is nothing more pleasing to me than to listen to the chirper frogs and the rain fall on the metal roof. Watch deer graze through the yard and the beautiful night sky filled with stars and occasionally the northern lights. Please enjoy my home and I hope it refuels your soul to continue to provide the care you give which is so needed and appreciated. Eva Jean
