Devil’s Thumb Ranch has an award-winning Nordic Center in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. With plenty of options for all levels, including classes and gear rentals, it’s a must-do while you’re in the area. #Colorado #coloradovacation
The Kawuneeche Visitor Center is the only visitor center located on the west side of Rocky Mountain National Park. It’s a great spot to get tips, park info, and souvenirs! You can watch a 20-min film about the park. They also have a fabulous topographical map of the park with suggested itineraries based on your trip duration. Also helpful are the displays showing local wildlife and park history. We definitely recommend stopping by the Kawuneeche Visitor Center when you’re visiting RMNP through the west entrance! #colorado #coloradovacation
The Grand Park Community Recreation Center is a great stop to add on your itinerary while vacationing in the area. Between their 30-foot climbing wall, 200-foot water slide, lazy river, hot tub, sauna, steam room, weight and cardio room, indoor track, basketball courts, and aerial gym…they’ve got all your fitness needs covered! Plus, there are group classes for all ages and abilities. It’s a great place to spend a few hours (or more!) while in Grand County. #Colorado #coloradovacation
Skip the crowds and head to Granby Ranch for your ski vacation this year. Spend more time getting your runs in and less time waiting in line. ⛷️ 🏂 #Colorado #coloradovacation
Why the name Sundog? A sundog, also known as a mock sun or a parhelion, is a bright, colorful atmospheric phenomenon that appears on either side of the sun, often in a hazy sky.It looks like a small, bright spot or halo, sometimes with a tail or streak extending away from the sun. Sundogs are caused by the reflection, refraction, and dispersion of sunlight by ice crystals in the atmosphere, and they are most commonly seen in polar regions during cold weather conditions. In some cultures, sundogs are seen as a positive or even magical occurrence, bringing good luck to those who see them. We see sundogs as a metaphor for those who are seeking adventure, exploring the outdoors and enjoying all the magic of nature. Our hope is that while you’re here at Sundog Condo, you’re outside experiencing Grand County and reconnecting with nature, making memories with your fellow travelers, all while having a cozy, warm home base to come back to at the end of the day.🎥 taken this morning, December 16th, on the road up to Granby Ranch. #Colorado #coloradovacation
