Heh. Got ‘im!

and I have been putting in long days on the hard water and longer nights planning, plotting, mapping, YouTubing, reading, overthinking, criticizing our overthinking, reading, and generally obsessing over these fish for a while now. Pretty cool to be figuring them out here in Western Colorado — a place not known widely for the pike fishing . . .. Always grateful, never contented.

Been SO BUSY and so stressed and so happy and so tired and so grateful and so appreciative and so APPRECIATED! Season is winding down, looking to finish strong, have more fun, serve more amazing meals, see more amazing friends, catch more amazing fish, tie more amazing flies, and turn f**kin’ FORTY, of all things!!!

What a great August! Finished with a BANG with this beastly David pulled on the today 👀 looking up! Great fish and well fought! The has been amazing as well and I’m looking forward to a SUPER BUSY SEPTEMBER in the kitchen! Probably a couple fewer trips with my friends, but that’s what November is for.
