A Very Bright Idea LEDs

A Very Bright Idea LEDs Energy-efficient. Zero Maintenance. Dramatically lower your operating costs by upgrading your outdated lighting to LED... now that's a very "Bright Idea!"

Like most people, I took lighting for granted and never really gave it much thought. That changed in 2014 as several bits and pieces came together at once within a short period of time. My previous career was in wholesale RV sales. One day I arrived at an RV Dealership to do sales training and noticed they had installed new lighting. The large showroom, it was a Menards store prior, went from bein

g dark and dreary to extremely well-lit. The lighting upgrade not only created an energetic atmosphere, but also made it much easier to see the merchandise. I was impressed and took note. A couple weeks later, I stopped by my father's production facility. To my surprise, he had changed-out all the lights in the factory since the last time I had been there. You couldn't miss them, in part, because they are wired to controls, or occupancy sensors, which turn them on and off when they sense movement. Not only was the lighting in the plant obviously much better, but my dad was quick to add that the new energy-efficient lights also lowered his electric bill by about $2,000 per month. Pretty cool... drastically better lighting and thousands of dollars less per month. That's a win-win for sure... still I didn't think too much about it. Shortly after being exposed to a few more similar scenarios, it all clicked and came together when I went out West to visit some friends. If you go to Los Angeles and look around, LEDs are popping-up everywhere. Actually, if you look more closely, you'll notice LEDs becoming more prevalent locally as well. Each month that goes by, I see another gas station canopy retrofitted with LEDs, or new construction with the slim LED street light fixtures. Anyway, all the pieces of the puzzle came together when I happened to have a casual conversation with a friend of a friend who is in the LED business. A light bulb went off in my head. I left the RV Industry and began a new career working for a LED manufacturer learning the industry and immersing myself in the technology. It became obvious to me that the new LEDs are the best thing since sliced bread. They have the potential to save businesses tons of money and the benefits are many. My bright idea was to become an expert on everything LEDs and start my own company. A Very Bright Idea is a full service provider of LED lights and lighting solutions. I have sorted through hundreds of different LED lights to offer only the most cost-effective and highest quality LEDs available. In many instances, it is possible to save roughly 20-30% by retrofitting existing fixtures. Think of this as simply taking out the current light bulb and putting in a new one. Its a little more complicated than that but you get the idea. If the existing fixtures are good, a retrofit is typically the best way to go. If the fixtures are old and outdated, replacing it with a completely new LED fixture makes the most sense. This is an example of "lighting solutions" and one size does not fit all. At AVBI, we will do a lighting assessment. the typical first step is to take a look at your existing fixtures to determine whether a retrofit or new fixtures is appropriate. Information such as the wattage of existing bulbs, number of fixtures, voltage, utility company, customer expectations, budget, and so on will be collected. AVBI will then come up with a custom solution to effectively meet customer needs. Every situation is a little bit different but the common thread is lower operating costs, better lighting, and numerous other benefits. At AVBI, we don't just sell LEDS. We also provide rebate services. In most cases, the initial cost of the LEDs is offset anywhere from 20-75% by utility-sponsored rebates. It is less expensive for power companies to reduce demand during peak periods than it is for them to build new infrastructure. The rebates they offer have been expanded just recently to include LEDs. The rebate process involves quite a bit of paperwork and know-how and the programs are like snowflakes- everyone is different. AVBI has been through the process and can guarantee maximum rebates from the electric companies. AVBI also offers installation services. We have several licensed and certified electricians that are trained to do installs. Or, if a business wants to save money and do it themselves, we can train your personnel on how to do the install. In most cases, it takes some relatively simple re-wiring. If your electric bill is over $1000 per month and lighting is significant part of it, then switching to LED is the easiest business decision you can make to lower operating costs. It is the low-hanging fruit of savings. Furthermore, by switching to LED you are doing your part to reduce emissions and your carbon footprint. Call Jim Edmundson today for a no-charge lighting assessment and a customized LED lighting solution. By using LED retrofits, new fixtures, or a combination thereof coupled with maximum rebates and installation services, I guarantee I can provide with an end-product that you will be completely satisfied with and at a cost lower than the competition.
