So if you notice, scrolling though all the pictures, all the kayak paddles have bits of foam in the middle.

Why is that?

Well....you don't need any experience to come paddle with us. And sometimes, new people drop things. Or fall out.

And even though we use kind of expensive super comfortable paddles, in the event of a tip over, priority #1 is getting you back upright and out of the water. Finding your paddle comes second.

And having a pool noodle chunk in the middle not only makes them easier to locate AFTER rescuing you, our valued customer, but also keeps it from sinking too quickly.

Those of you who follow to see the fun, and have your own boats, feel free to use this tip on your own adventures.

A small piece of a $3 pool noodle might save your $60 (or more) paddle. Well worth it!

Put in at the delta, went out to the nature area. Not as many critters as I'd hoped, but plenty of birds.

Pictures came out blurry for some reason.

Just to keep the page (and myself) active during the winter,

And just for fun

And because a few of our boats have more or less flat plastic bottoms

Stay tuned for a video of downhill sledding in a kayak!

(Just once for fun, not something we are booking trips for...don't try this at home, kids! And yes, we are still very much closed for winter)

01/07/2024

Due to unforseen medical issues, we may be opening for the summer season later than anticipated.

Rest assured, even though we won't be taking requests for March walley fishing we WILL be open starting May 1 for summer fun!

11/04/2023

Even though we are closed for winter, I need to post occasionally to keep the page up.

So today, where did the words "port" and "starboard " come from, amd how can we remember which is which?

Well, our kayaks don't have rudders or steering wheels, but if you look at most motorboats, the wheel is on the right side, or the tiller is set up to sit on the right side of it.
Long ago, there were no wheels on sailing ships, only a rudder. And the rudder wasn't centered, it hung off the right side. This was your "star board" or in modernEnglish, "steering board" which even today, still means the right side of the boat, where the "star" board used to hang.

So what about port? Well, this was the side of the vessel that faced the port...as in the harbor. You would tie the boat with this side against the dock or peir, so you didn't break.......you guessed it.....your steering board. Which hung off the right side.

Now you know.

Our most common question: how much does it cost?

So...here's our rates

$20 per solo kayak, rent 5 the 6th is free

$30 for the tandem (sits 1, 2, or 3 people, 450 lbs total)

$10 each for guide boat passengers (limit 2)

This is flat rate, not hourly, for as long as you want to stay out as long as we are back by dark.

And of course, if you have an amazing time, guide tips are always appreciated but never expected.

While we are NOT a fishing guide service...you can absolutely fish while you are out with us.

Didn't have any tours booked this morning, so the boss lady had us take her fishing.

We are pleased to announce our newest member of the family, a nucanoe classic 12

A canoe/kayak hybrid with movable seating that seats 1, 2 or even 3 people! (450 lbs total)

Our maximum group size including the 2 open seats in the guide boat is now 10!

Message or call to book your group of 2-10* people for your next Green Bay area adventure!

It's more affordable than you might think.

*if possible we like to reserve Sundays for groups of 4 or more

Some rare birds have been spotted in the Ken Euers nature area!

This is a location we can get to from our delta launch, IF it's not too windy

Why not try bird watching from a kayak?

Message or call today to book your group, our rates are cheaper than you might think!

So why are all of our boats either earth toned or spray painted camo?

Well, sometimes we get away from urban adventures, floating around under bridges, and like to get out to nature.

Blending in with the swampy areas helps us get closer to some of the local wildlife.

And when we aren't creeping up on birds, turtles ,muskrat, and otters, we are taking in yhe simple beauty of the delta, under the blue sky.

Another Sunday, another group.
Some new customers and some repeats. It's a great feeling when people not only come back, but bring friends.

We got a little muddy, a little tired, some of us a little stuck, but everyone went home happy.

And while we do operate until October, this particular wilderness run will be off the menu Sept 1-17 for early waterfowl seasons. Our main fox River areas will still be available.

Message today or call during evening business hours to book your trip today!

Socket for fishing rod holder on the Boss 10 was just an open hole for water to get into.

Took it, out, plugged the tip with a foam ball and sealed it on with silicone, no more water between the deck and hull.

Anyway, Alainna here was a first time kayaker this morning and had a great time.

Just a couple of guys fishing under some bridges...
Can't think of a better thing after a hot day,
Than an evening in the shade, on the water.

Message today or call during our evening business hours, and this could be you.

The weather report is out for next week!

Looks like is gonna be HOT

Nothing booked yet, why not beat the heat and come get wet? The coolest place to be will be on the water, under a bridge somewhere, where the big boats don't fit.

Meet our newest watercraft...Bob.

Bob comes to us from the reward points on my cabelas card.

He doesn't hold much weight, but what he does hold is important.

Bob will be joining us on future adventures, to keep your beverages cold, and he will be found floating somewhere behind the guide boat on a rope.

Just so you wonderful people are aware. I don't pick the ads that Facebook puts on this page, but be advised.

If you see a big super sale on kayaks for like 99 dollars or something with free shipping...its always a scam. It costs more than 99 dollars to ship a kayak. (Not counting inflatables)

Oh sure, you can find used ones cheap on marketplace, but don't send or give anyone any money until you are physically in arms reach of the boat in question.

Too Many scams out there.

Happy paddling and stay safe everyone!
