It's been a whole year now since we closed the business - it's been very healing in many ways. The year has been incredibly challenging, work and health wise, and so much has happened!

Enchanted Equestrian and Equine Kingdom are entering 2023 full of hope for the future - we just purchased back Caspian, Paris, and Poppy (and a bonus little mini named Remy!) and are thrilled to have them back with our lesson program. This puts us way over the number of horses we wanted to have here, so Loki and the donkeys went to live with Lilly and her family up the hill with all the sheep, and Calliope (the gray pony) will be up for sale soon as well. We will reevaluate in the spring and see what our next steps are, but for now we are enjoying the equines that we have!

Thanks everyone for all your support in the last year. We miss you guys and hope you have all found a wonderful new place to ride! Sally IS accepting more advanced/older students that are able to walk, trot, canter, and handle a horse in a wider/open area without problems, please contact for further information if you're interested!

To Our Dear Friends & Family of Equine Kingdom: We are heartbroken and deeply sorry to announce the closing of this amazing company/business. Without going into a great amount of details, a prior injury of Sally's has gotten progressively worse over the years, culminating to a point at the end of this year that it was time to fish or cut bait - if we didn't get surgery done right away, permanent, irreversible damage was likely to be done. When it comes to something as crucial as your back, unfortunately there's just no way around it - you've got to do what you've got to do. This meant surgery, which took place at the end of 2021. The recovery is long and difficult, and has a whole lot of restrictions. It's been highly recommended that I NOT return to this line of work due to the toll it's taken on my body over these many years. As I can't stand the idea of just letting or hiring someone else to do everything, and with many other factors here playing a part, the sad choice was that we are going to close the lesson program.

We cannot thank our past and present clients enough, there are not enough special, meaningful words, to tell you how much you mean to us. You've built us up, you've been there for us, you've been the backbone of everything we've done over the years. It is because of you that we have been able to serve the community with such a special group of horses, instructors, and students over these many years. We may not be the fanciest barn, the most prestigious, or even the most popular - but what we have specialized in for all this time is SAFE, FUN horses and lessons. We've accomplished this by not requiring a lot of the expensive gear or training that many other barns require, we don't require you to have anything at all other than safety gear (we provide as much as we can for you!) and a love of learning and a joy in your heart for the sport of horses. We don't have all the fancy, expensive, super highly trained horses - but we have had the sweetest, kindest, most willing lesson horses on earth that have done nothing but give every ounce of their hearts, souls, and minds to every student that they've come across.
From the riders that have gone on to become world-famous titled equestrians that had their start at Equine Kingdom, to the special needs riders that have found safety and happiness, accomplishment and love on a horse's back, from the 2 year olds that are now in their late teens that have spent all these years here, to the adults that found their stride in horses at a place where they know they are safe from criticism and verbal or physical abuse, we treasure each and every person that has walked through our doors. It is such a sad thing to need to take this step, and rest assured it would not be this way if it weren't for needing to make a choice for my own personal health moving forward. I am only 35 years old and I have been told repeatedly that this cannot continue - it is time to listen to those that know more than me, and time to make a choice for myself, for my future, and for that of my husband and (hopefully) future family.

We wish you all the best and please stay in touch, we would love to continue to hear from you. We hope that Equine Kingdom will not disappear for good, but rather change and morph into an entirely new entity. Please stay tuned to see what we become!
In the meantime, please share our lesson horses for sale with anyone you know that may be interested. We also intend to host a barn sale at the end of January for whatever materials, tack, equipment, etc have not been purchased by students/clients throughout the month. If you are a CURRENT or PAST student at Equine Kingdom and would like to purchase anything, please reach out and message us to purchase. All other purchases must wait until the end of January to buy. ALL horses that are listed on our website are available for purchase at any time. You can read all about them and see videos on our page here, OR you can visit our website to see them all in one place here: https://www.equinekingdom.com/shop

SWEETEST MARE ON EARTH: Poppy - 8 year old Tennessee Walking Horse mare (means she is gaited, she has an extra gait in addition to walk/trot/canter/gallop, called a running walk - very smooth!) Poppy is approximately 15.2 hands tall and is Sorrel in color. she has no maintenance, is very easy to care for, takes very little grain to stay fat. She is suitable for any age and skill level, but can be a little quick for beginners that are timid or low in confidence. She is used regularly for trail rides and is hugely popular with the teens due to her ability for speed and jumping. She is 100% perfect on a lead line for birthday parties, little kid lessons, and is very popular in our summer camps as well. She is extremely easy to handle, very sweet and personable, and has no vices. She has lots of stamina and will happily perform for many hours without complaint. She does not spook or scare easily, we've never seen anything that she would not do or accept. She would be an excellent show horse in any discipline, has spent much of her life as a trail horse, and would absolutely excel as an endurance horse on long distance rides (there are competitions for this as well). We've never had a single problem with her, and I've known her for nearly 3 years, although I've only had the honor of owning her for a little less than a year. She is easy to handle on the ground and under saddle, takes direction well, and will be an excellent long-term partner for some lucky person!!

ALL of the horses at Equine Kingdom are healthy, vetted, up to date on all their shots, teeth, and feet. They are all barefoot and do not need shoes. They all load easily onto and off of a trailer, they all tie in crossties or to a post, they are all easy to saddle and bridle, stand to be mounted, are not spooky, and have been exposed to any and everything that we can find, so as a general rule they are as bombproof as they come. They are all used in a wide range of experiences from little kid lessons as young as 2 years old, birthday parties, trail rides for a LOT of beginners from children to adults, they have all done mounted archery, cross country jumping, english and western lessons, ba****ck, summer camps. They are all easy to handle on the ground, quiet, and extremely well trained. They have been exposed repeatedly to fireworks, shooting/guns, fire, loud noises, scary flappy things, riders of every age, size, and skill level, and we are confident in their ability to provide a safe and fun experience for anyone that purchases them. ALL horses can sometimes be an exception to this rule, as they do have brains and a flight instinct, attitudes, and have their good and bad days just like people and other animals, so this is a not a guarantee that any horse will be 100% safe, 100% of the time, for 100% of people - but this is as darn close as they will come.

FOR SALE: LESSON BARN FAVORITE: Puddleglum - 19 year old grade gelding, sorrel, approximately 15.2 hands tall. History as a ranch gelding/cattle sorter, taught hundreds of people to ride over the years. Easily adjusts his speed to accommodate young kids/new riders, as well as being a speeding bullet for our riders that ask that of him. He can jump absolutely anything and is extremely honest, will not refuse or duck out that I've seen more than maybe once in the 2 years we've had him. He is an easy keeper - needs grain to keep weight on but no maintenance otherwise, excellent hard feet and easy to handle, very friendly and personable. He is the most requested horse for summer camps and very popular in lessons with the kids, and is the favorite of many of the teens at the barn - they love a good fast horse!! We have jumped him up to 3' and he goes english, western, ba****ck, trail rides, and anything you ask him to do. Not recommended for extremely small/beginner children without lessons or a handler, as can be quick when asked, and he doesn't *always * differentiate between an intentional ask and an accidental one! However, he is the favorite for most of the walk/trotters and he is sooo careful and quiet with them! He will walk and trot on a long rein and be completely behaved. He can go all day long and has a lot of stamina. Don't let his age fool you, this horse has more energy and go than 3 of the younger horses combined!! Puddleglum is for sale for $9,000.

FOR SALE: BABYSITTER MARE LESSON HORSE: Serenity - mid 20s mare, 16.2 hands tall, black - walk, trot, canter and jump. Rides bridleless, will jump anything you point her at - she is 100% honest and will not stop or duck out, but she may knock poles down if she takes the jump wrong. Sweet as can possibly be on the ground, easy to handle, easy to mount, ride, etc. Not super suitable for really young kids that yank, as she gets frustrated with their pulling/twitching/yanking - recommended for beginners through intermediate riders that don't yank her face all over the place. She is safe and easy for trail rides, arena riding, and is wonderful for a progressing rider. She needs to stay on a vitamin C supplement - as she's aged, her bladder doesn't process waste properly and sediment settles in her bladder, which causes the drainage you see on her hind legs - it is not an issue long term, and she's had many visits/diagnoses and clean outs - it's just something that we have to live with. it doesn't actually cause any problems, nor does it need any additional care other than a high dose of vitamin C that helps manage it. We trust Serenity with all our beginner trail riders, birthday parties, and any lesson rider that comes out. She does have a gait that takes some getting used to, as it can be a little "different" than some horses, plus in the winter it takes her some time to work out of stiffness on occasion, as you can see in some of the videos below, it usually doesn't take more than a few minutes. A Joint supplement has helped her with this!. She has a short stride and ZERO ideas of taking off with anybody, but will move out nicely when asked properly. She is willing and happy to do anything and everything she is asked, and has yet to balk at anything at all that we've asked of her. She has been known to pull back when tied, so we always drape her reins through a piece of twine when we tie her. We do not know what her history is before we got her, but we do not know what the trigger is for when she pulls back. Serenity is for sale for $5000.

We have THOUSANDS of photos and videos of our horses on our page, please feel free to look through them in addition to this post.

PARIS- 13 year old black/white paint mare, approximately 15.3 hands tall. No maintenance, although you need to make sure that her farrier doesn't trim her feet to short or she will be sore. This is easily remedied by front shoes until her hoof hardens enough to prevent the soreness. This mare will jump the MOON and do it with Style!! She can easily take you or your child to shows and clean up, with some formal show work - she can easily jump courses in a nice rhythmic pace. We've jumped her up to 3' in lessons. She does cross country, English, western - you name it, she can do it. She is quiet and steady and careful with the younger riders, and is a great step up horse for the intermediate riders, but also has the talent to take a more experienced rider very far! She has a past in dressage with an older woman, and has 60 days of professional training in 2020. She rides bitless, but will go in a bit as well (videos from today at in a bit) - she has a great stop, and a good head on her shoulders. We've never seen her spook at anything. One thing to be aware of is she gets buddy sour if she's kept with the same horses for too long, and she will get stressed out if she is separated from them, especially in the arena. Paris does need grain and lots of calories to keep her fat while she's in consistent work. She is also the kind of horse that you can let sit in the pasture for a year, pull her out, and she's exactly the same horse she was a year ago, with no work inbetween - they don't come like this often!! SHe does need consistent work to be round and soft, but is always kind and careful with her riders.
