Sam Chu Lin was born in and began his broadcasting career when he hosted a radio show in 1956 right here in Greenville, MS. Sam went on to lead the way for Chinese Americans in broadcast journalism eventually working for major broadcast networks. He first reached a national audience with CBS News in New York.

In 1975, Chu Lin was the first CBS reporter to broadcast nationally the news about the fall of Saigon and the end of the Vietnam War.

During his lifetime, Chu Lin's numerous list of awards and accolades were astounding! Come and celebrate his legacy with us!
