💫Traveling constantly is a risk for me : I risk my health, my finances, my figure ; ) , my friends, and my work load not to mention other things. But I risk these things for nothing other than the *experience* I bring as a travel advisor and travel agency owner. Would I have preferred to lay out on a float on the Bahamian sea all day in Nassau instead of spending 2 & 1/2 hours on my feet seeing hotel rooms over a 1,000 acres & taking notes? YES. But I knew that I would be giving up the most important *perk* that YOU get by booking with me: my knowledge. My experience.

💫 Why are we always traveling and “vacationing”? I know it’s an obvious answer to many, but you wouldn’t believe the amount of passive aggressive comments and messages we get regarding this.....
Here’s the thing. I get it, I do. I would honestly feel the same way if I had to see someone drinking Pina Coladas on white sand listening to Jimmy Buffet every month while going through a life crisis or staying up all night with my newborn. Because I’ve been there.
💫 I know this is a cliche answer for every travel advisor out there, but we travel constantly to be the BEST out there in the business. Because to us, being the BEST means being someone you can TRUST. How would you trust me to tell you that the resort I’m sending you to does indeed have a clear water beach and good restaurant selections if I don’t check it out myself? How am I able to navigate you on how to get around Europe via their rail system if I don’t figure it out myself? Would your trust a chef that didn’t taste his own food? 🤔
We aren’t just here to click around on a computer and send you options, we are here to tell you we have experienced and know the places we send you to. “Someone has to do it” 😉

💫 I have been to South Africa twice, Croatia, Poland, Egypt, and Hungary but still haven’t seen the Grand Canyon, Nashville, and Vegas.
💫My ideal vacation is a combination of being able to do absolutely nothing one day with gorgeous scenery and then spend the next day exploring and hiking.

💫 Sometimes you get hiccups on your vacation experiences. Like our pile of seaweed Mother Nature gave us this particular day on a normally gorgeous beach, my cheap sunglasses that kept falling, and our kissing pictures that absolutely never ever ever turn out. 🙄 . Perfection is only a reality on social media. It doesn’t exist. So don’t make those extra pounds, a rain forecast, or a less than ideal choice of wardrobe make you not travel.
Go on that trip, be positive, and realize by doing that you will up your experience by ten-fold.
✈️ You definitely can say that travel is in my blood. Till the end, my handsome retired grandfather still could remember the pounds per thrust of every engine he flew and all the airport numbers for every runway he landed on. I adored being able to discuss all his favorite cities he would have an extended layover in and which ones to avoid. He was an incredible pilot and I’m in agony that I never had him pull out his flight log book while he was living so we could talk through some of his greatest moments in the air.
✈️ Can you imagine all the newlyweds he flew to their first island getaway together? All the excited and bright eyed families he flew to Disney? The heart broken flying to lay their loved ones to rest. All those stories.
✈️On January 7th, he took his last and most important flight—-all the way into his Savior’s arms. ❤️ He’s with my Grandmother and cousin Peter now.

💫 To those who know me and have worked with me before, you know that I will not stop till I know I’ve worked my absolute hardest to make my clients satisfied. **When the CDC first announced the order of required testing to get back into the states, I must admit my travel advisor positive outlook completely fell. It didn’t just fall, it got buried to the point of never being found again.
But see, I was WRONG to despair before giving the travel industry a chance to show what they can do and how they would rise to the challenge.
♦️♦️Did you KNOW that a lot of these island resorts are not only offering free 24 hr turn around result testing but are also offering FREE quarantine stays with room service if in the rare chance you get a positive test? That’s huge everyone. Huge.
Ideal? Absolutely not. Better than it could be! YES!! Will many still not travel? Of course. BUT this proves to me that in our changing times, the travel industry will fight to the death to be resilient, to work together, to be safe, and to overcome each and every obstacle that comes its way. I don’t know about you, but that shows great things for the future of travel.

2020 brought a lot of changes and hardship for so many people, including myself. However, at the end I wasn’t left thinking of all that I had lost, but of what I *have*---my family and my home.
This realization caused me to make the hardest decision I have ever had to make in my years of being an adult. I decided to leave a great job and precious friends of 11 years and embark on new territories.
