Restaurants at Walt Disney World in Florida and Disneyland Resort in California all carry special allergy-friendly menus that clearly spell things out so you can enjoy your meal and not stress about what is in it. It’s still a good idea to carry your Benadryl and EpiPen, but at least you can have some peace of mind with your piece of cake!

June 10, 2024 has been announced as the date that the all new and improved Communicore and Mickey & Friends will be unveiled and open to the public. It’s exciting to see all the changes that have been taking place at EPCOT in recent years! If you haven’t been in some time, this is a great opportunity to see what’s new; including Moana - Journey Of Water, Connections Cafe, Creations, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and more. Let’s chat and I can fill you in, as well as get you fixed up with your perfect mid-summer Walt Disney World vacation!
Walt Disney World Tip - “Footwear”:
With the warmer weather just around the corner, especially in the Central Florida area, it might sound appealing to wear sandals or slides on your upcoming vacation. These may be great around your resort, and heading to the pool, but leave them in your room when it’s time to hit the parks.
Would you believe that on average you will walk 20,000 to 25,000 steps on each in-park day? That’s over 9 miles!
For in-park days, it’s best that you wear comfortable well fitting athletic shoes and breathable socks. If your feet tend to get extra sweaty, bring two pairs with you that you can rotate out every other day. Properly fitting and cushioned athletic shoes will help prevent blisters and foot pain; as the majority of the in-park experience will be on blacktop, concrete or some other equally hard and durable surface. Yes, there are plenty of places to sit and rest, and there are some retail and attraction areas that are carpeted, but by and large you will be standing and walking on hard surfaces. A blister on your feet at Disney can really bring you down, and it’ll likely last the duration of the balance of your trip. Make sure that the footwear isn’t “brand new” either - wear them a bit before your trip so they are well broken in.
Sandals and slides will be the perfect evening treat for your feet back at the resort, but trust me - even in the hot summer Florida sun, your athletic shoes and breathable socks are the smart play for the parks.

New Dining Reservation Features for Disneyland and Walt Disney World in 2024!!
Discover Dining Reservation Availability More Easily
Guests can now see all available reservation time slots at a restaurant for the entire day on DisneyWorld.com, Disneyland.com, and the My Disney Experience and Disneyland apps. Reservations are sorted by breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner, so guests can easily choose a time based on the menu they'd like to enjoy.
COMING SOON! Search for Dining Availability for Multiple Days
Soon, guests will also be able to see dining availability for MULTIPLE days at a time! With a single search, guests can view available dining reservations for any given restaurant for up to 10 days at a time. It will make scheduling dining reservations for an entire vacation much easier!

Staying on-property at Walt Disney World is a great way to remain immersed in the Disney Storytelling and to ensure you’re constantly connected with the top-notch customer service that Disney has arguably set the benchmark for all other companies worldwide. However, proximity to the parks is another great and often overlooked reason. Here, we see the Skyliner that takes guests directly from certain resorts (in this case, Disney’s Riviera Resort where I stayed recently) into either Epcot or Hollywood Studios. A short and scenic gondola ride gets you from your hotel right to the heart of the action. All Disney resorts and parks are connected via either Motorcoaches, Skyliner gondolas, Monorail or Boats; with many having multiple options! No need to rent a car, white-knuckle with unfamiliar traffic and roadways, pay to park, walk a considerable distance from your car, etc. The best part: it’s all included when you stay at a Disney resort.
