As we gather around the warm glow of the fire this Christmas Eve, it’s a perfect moment to reflect on the heart of this season—Jesus. Here at Hootenanny At Horton Creek, surrounded by the beauty of creation, we’re reminded of the simplicity and wonder of that first Christmas night.

The King of Kings wasn’t born in a palace but in a humble stable. The shepherds, the least likely guests, were the first to hear the angel’s song, proclaiming, “Glory to God in the highest!” It reminds us that Christ’s love and message is for everyone—no matter who you are or where you come from.
