Finish Line Friday. I’m in the all black 😎
To say I’m grateful my husband and kids were able to witness this finish is an understatement. This training cycle was less than ideal, and honestly I didn’t know if I could do it. I hooked up with a pace group around mile 11 and stuck with them until the very end. I actually ended up running the entire time with them and felt great the whole way, and finished with a PR of ONE HOUR AND ONE MINUTE. ER or PR baby.
I think I’m still in shock that I finished, but I had so much fun during those miles with the pace group, it was totally worth the uncomfortable moments. I’m already looking forward to the next Dopey, maybe 2027.

We finally have a date for ticket sales for Oogie Boogie Bash 2024 at DCA! Tickets will be available for purchase to the public on June 27, 2024 at 8:45am PST with ticket sales starting no later than 9am PST.
The queue was a mess last year and I’ve got my fingers crossed for a smoother experience this time!
