Using animal bones, found objects, dried flowers, photos, and other small items, I try to create works of art that evoke memories and tempt the viewers imagination. My goal is to create something that tells everyone who looks at it a different story so that the piece can constantly be reborn. Each piece starts with one particular item and evolves from there. I am a collector by nature and find thi
ngs wherever I go. I have drawers full of found, purchased, and reclaimed items that inspire my works. Some days a bone tells me it should be a flower or a tree, other days a watch would like to be a bug. I love working with mixed materials and have found that resin is an amazing canvas that allows me to create dimensional collages using my collection of keepsakes. I am heavily influenced by macabre Victorian era art forms, animals and nature, religious and spiritual items, memories and dreams, and my family. I have an extra keen sense of smell, which if Proust was right, is probably why my sense of memory is very strong and very important to me. About me: Cordelia is a writer, crafter, resin caster, and textile maker who somehow ended up with a law degree
