Merry Christmas Eve! May you all be enjoying time with those you love this year.

Growing up, Christmas Eve was the big night with extended family. All the cousins made it so fun! I still carry on the tradition of spinach dip and a huge appetizer spread.

Even though I’m an only child, nights like that made me feel like I was part of a big crew.

We’d pile in cars and go look at Christmas lights, then head back for dessert we had no business eating.

My grandfather set up the most magical train display on the pool table. We took turns “driving” the trains. My one cousin would drive them too fast, and they would always jump the track.🙄

This is the first Christmas without either of my parents, and also the first without my mother-in-law.

Enjoy your traditions, big and small. No matter what’s going on in your life, may you be in the present and grateful. ❤️💚

I love all things local and authentic, especially when done from the vantage point of best healthy practices for people and animals.

Doing things the right way costs more, and despite the challenges, Whippoorwill Farms SC has stuck to what’s right. Theirs is a beautiful story I have followed for some time, and we support their efforts to rebuild after this week’s crazy flooding.
